CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten had some pretty amazing numbers when it comes to approval for President Donald Trump.
He pointed out how the number of Republicans who "strongly approved" of Trump was at historic levels.
GOP voters love for Trump is record breaking. His strong approval (63%) is up like a rocket from term 1 (53%).

It's higher than any GOP prez on record at this pt.
95%+ of those Trump endorses win primaries. When you mess with Trump, you go in the grinder to quote Good Burger. pic.twitter.com/1Op7Wjq479
He compared Trump's numbers in July 2017 when they were at 53 percent. Now, they're at 63 percent in July 2025, "He's up like a rocket!"
Enten termed that a "huge base" and explained that it was just part of the 90 percent of Republicans who approve of Trump, including the "somewhat approve" numbers.
How about compared to other Republican presidents? "It's history-making," Enten declared. He explained how, going back to George H.W. Bush, Trump had the highest "strongly approve" number five months in. Enten said that Trump even beat Ronald Reagan, who was a tremendously popular president, coming off an assassination attempt. He is "more beloved" than any of those Republican presidents at this time in his presidency.
Enten also addressed the question of the worth of the Trump endorsement and the question of Republicans who might challenge him, explaining that yes, the people who Trump endorses win, at least count in 2024, at least 95 percent of the time. Even when it's a challenger to an incumbent, Enten said the majority of the time, the Trump-endorsed candidate wins.
When you go against President Trump, Enten observed, "To quote the movie Good Burger, you go in the grinder."
So no, if you look at those numbers, he's not losing people as Democrats might try to argue, indeed, he's gaining even more approval.
It isn't hard to understand why. In Trump, you have someone endured all efforts to thwart him, including an assassin's bullet, and who is trying to fulfill campaign promises, despite so many efforts by the Democrats to stop him. Someone who secured the border in the face of Democrats doing nothing and saying you needed new laws. Someone who is cutting waste and abuse through the efforts of DOGE, and ending things like USAID.
He managed to take out Iran's nuclear facilities without losing any American lives and then wrangled a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
Inflation is down, and the stock market is hitting near record highs.
Trump may face headwinds with activist judges, but he's even winning there, as we saw with the decision on universal injunctions.

Meanwhile, the Democrats are in turmoil, not knowing which way to turn, embracing illegal aliens and radicals like Zohran Mamdani as a standard bearer.
It's a simple equation. Trump is focused on what matters to the people, and the Democrats are only focused on being against him. It's a winning recipe for him and Republicans, while it's a crashing failure for Democrats.
Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
