Oh My: Pelosi's Remarks About L.A. Riots and Whopper About J6 Are Something Else

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) needs to call it a day.

If her latest comments and appearance are any indication, she's in bad shape.

She weighed in on the anti-ICE riots in L.A. on Tuesday. On top of what she said, she looked awful; she didn't look well.

It's just incredible that the Democrats are demonizing law enforcement and standing with illegal aliens.

But Pelosi went even further than that. She went straight into fantasy land.

She spoke about the Los Angeles anti-ICE riots and the "exuberance of the moment."

“When - and I say this as a former party chair - when there is a gathering, a large gathering of people, the anarchists see it as an opportunity and they move in. So always have to be careful, whether you see a burned car, a broken window, whatever it is. It may be the exuberance of the moment, but it may be the anarchist setting in."

Alrighty now. Most normal people don't think "exuberance of the moment" when they see rioting. That's bizarre. And once again, it sounds like she's trying to downplay the violence and/or the leftist involvement in it.

Let's review the "exuberance of the moment."

If you're trying to minimize this, then you're the one with the problem.

But it got worse — then she just told a despicable whopper.

"On January 6th... we begged the president of the United States to send in the National Guard. He would not do it. Not only would he not do it," she insisted, "law enforcement were being harmed — some later died." She then added that Trump incited an "insurrection."

That's a rewriting of history. The National Guard was sent in on Jan. 6. No Capitol Police officers died on Jan. 6; an officer died the following day of a stroke.

Moreover, Trump also asked if they wanted the Guard a few days before, and he told his Pentagon personnel to make sure the event was safe. According to the Capitol Police timeline of events, the Capitol Police responded that they weren't requesting it on Jan.4. The head of the Capitol Police, Steven Sund, asked the Senate and the House Sergeants at Arms for authority to have the Guard assist but was denied.

Townhall and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded with what Pelosi said on Jan. 6 in a documentary about the event regarding why the National Guard wasn't there to begin with. Pelosi says, "I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more."

Bottom line? She can't rewrite J6 to help their cause now.

Editor's Note: President Trump isn't going to allow lawlessness to reign in America. We will not have a repeat of 2020's "Summer of Love."
