This Is What They Truly Think: Dem Rep's Crude Comments About Immigration Get Backlash

Vermont only has one representative in the House.

Unfortunately for them, it's Democrat Rep. Becca Balint. Warning, she is crude.

On Tuesday, during a town hall in the state, she attacked how President Donald Trump was dealing with illegal immigration. But she also spoke about how the feds needed to increase legal immigration. Her words got a lot of backlash, understandably so.

"We have to come to a place in Congress where it is no longer a political issue, but we see it as an existential issue for the country. If we don't have avenues for people to come here legally to work or to build a home here, I'm gonna be really crude here right now, we're not going to have anybody around to wipe our a**** because we don't have enough people."

Wow, that's a disgusting take on immigrants, characterizing them in that way, as though immigrants are only there to serve or take care of people like her. But it gives you a window into how they think about immigration.

Not to mention what a bizarre take that you would need anyone else to do the action of which she spoke, one would think you would know how to do that yourself. What kind of an elitist comment is that? Do Democrats need help in that process?

We do have avenues for legal immigration, although they could use an overhaul. The Democrats often seem to forget that when they come to the rescue of illegal aliens. You don't have to come illegally, that's a choice.

Vermont Republicans blasted her.

Vermont Republican Party Chairman Paul Dame said Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vt., should apologize for her remarks both because of the "crude choice of words" and "disturbing sentiment" that the primary reason for allowing immigrants in is to "perform labor that she deems beneath the dignity of others." [....]

"At the heart of these remarks is an opinion so offensive and so profoundly out of touch that it reveals a fundamental lack of respect for those who come to this country – abiding by the rules – in pursuit of freedom, opportunity, and a better life." [....]

"Only an entitled Vermont Democrat would say such a thing," added former Vermont state Senate candidate Paul Bean, going on to warn tradesmen that the lawmaker purportedly "thinks you are basically a--wipers."

Add that to other Democrats demonizing ICE and radicals trying to obstruct arrests. It's truly twisted, and Democrats wonder why their numbers are tanking.

It didn't go over well for Balint on X.

Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
