JD Vance Decimates Hot Take About Family Ski Trip and Protest in Vermont

Over the weekend, Vice President JD Vance took his family on a ski trip to Vermont.

But the left being the left decided to protest him there in Vermont. There was a protest from the progressive group Indivisible Calais in Waitsfield, where the focus seemed to be on Ukraine. Somehow, they always look the same and have no grasp of the facts.

One protester pitched the same nonsense about being “scared about losing Social Security or Medicaid" when Trump and Vance aren't touching that.

Indeed, their efforts to save money might help save Social Security.

Then, a separate protest in Warren also had some folks from the Vermont Coalition for Palestinian Liberation, Cooperation Vermont, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. There were also counter-protesters out supporting Vance in Warren — the regular people.

Protesters even tried to waylay the family on the ski slopes. The governor of Vermont, Phil Scott, a Republican, had called for people to be sensitive that Vance was traveling with his family, and to be respectful. But at least one person reportedly harassed him on the ski slopes with the family. So much for that.

The family was moved from where they had originally intended to stay to what was reported as an "undisclosed location." Some ridiculous person with the profile name "Jeff Computers" tried to call Vance "widely, insanely soft" over it. But Vance was having none of it.

These people are such idiots. We had a great time during our weekend in Vermont. We barely noticed the protesters and almost everyone we met was kind and generous. And Vermont is beautiful.

These people are such idiots. We had a great time during our weekend in Vermont. We barely noticed the protesters and almost everyone we met was kind and generous. And Vermont is beautiful. This headline about being moved to an “undisclosed location” is that we moved our hotel so the kids could have more privacy. We didn’t disclose it because the secret service doesn’t like when we advertise my location.

How dare JD want his kids to have privacy with the family away from screaming people? I guess that's apparently "soft." That's pretty wild.

Plus, pro tip? Yes, the Secret Service doesn't like to tell you where their protectees are exactly because that can put them in danger. That's not hard to understand for most people.

Good for Vance, he's going to do what's right for his kids, no matter what and no matter what the protesters do. Glad he enjoyed his vacation, despite these characters. He's certainly earned it, with all the work that he and Trump have been putting in.
