Gotta Love It: Pentagon Changes to Media Offices Cause Meltdowns on the Left

The Trump team has been making so many moves it's almost hard to keep up with them all.

But they're doing things that are upsetting the apple cart in a way that's truly transformative.

One of those actions has been in changes with the media. We saw that the White House has created a "new media" seat at the press briefing, and they've reached out to different, untraditional outlets to apply for passes.

If that wasn't enough of a message, now the Trump Pentagon has made it even clearer that they are going to open up different media opportunities and not just assign all the seats to the liberal media.

The Pentagon informed its resident press corps that NBC, the New York Times, NPR, and Politico would have to "rotate out of the building" where they had been given office space.

The letter said that it was "In order to broaden access to the limited space of the Correspondents' Corridor to outlets that have not previously enjoyed the privilege and journalist value of working from physical office space in the Pentagon." It's going to start February 14, 2025, and they are going to "rotate" who gets the space each year, for each of the different mediums -- print, TV, radio, and online news.

Now, instead the spots will go to the NY Post, Breitbart, OANN, and the Huffington Post.

As the letter also noted, that isn't stopping NBC, the NYT, NPR or Politico from being part of the Pentagon press corps and being able to cover the same news/briefings. But it is noting that the liberal media outlets will no longer receive "favored" status; things are going to be opening up for other outlets as well.  I'm not sure there should be any offices for media there, but if there are, you should open them up as they are doing here. It's also another nod to the rise of the new and the independent media.

The hysterical hot takes from the left were hilarious. Doing this is somehow "1933."

Warning for graphic language:

"Media purges" = not getting special offices that other media are usually shut out of.

Oh, my gosh, not Hitler again. Don't you guys know that the American people rejected that nonsense with the election? Yet, it's still all they have. It's just stupid and boring at this point. How dare MORE media have opportunities and not just liberal media outlets? What happened to diversity is our strength?
