Tulsi Destroys Dems in Brutal Opening Statement, Breaks Down Shocking Misuse of Intel

President Donald Trump's nominee for the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, had her confirmation hearing on Thursday before the Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence.

Right out of the gate, she got some great assistance from Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who blew up the Democrat smears against her, specifically calling out Hillary Clinton for her comments. He explained that Gabbard has served in the military for more than 20 years, with multiple combat tours.

Having the support of Cotton, who is often viewed as a hawk, is a big asset here.

Former North Carolina Senator Richard Burr (R) introduced Gabbard and echoed Cotton. Burr was a former Chair of the Intel Committee.

Her big problem for Democrats? She threw them over and switched to being a supporter of Trump.

But she wasn't holding back and lit things up in her opening statement -- laying out the infamous Sen. Chuck Schumer comment about how the intelligence community has "six ways from Sunday" of getting back at you if you cross them. Then she called out "faulty or weaponized intelligence" that had been used for "too long" and outlined a variety of instances, including the Russia collusion hoax, the 51 former intel officials' Hunter Biden laptop letter, and the CIA (under former director John Brennan) spying on Congress.

Gabbard even laid out how she had been placed on a secret terror watchlist shortly after she criticized Kamala Harris.

"The bottom line? This must end," she declared.

Then she laid out what she thought was the real objection that Democrats had with her. She said she was accused of being a "puppet" of multiple different people by Democrats.

"What truly unsettles them is I refuse to be THEIR puppet," she said, finishing them off.

Now that is a mic drop, throwing down the gauntlet. She just destroyed them.
