Former Politico Reporters Drop Bombshell Alleging Suppression of Hunter Biden Stories

There's a reason that mainstream media isn't trusted anymore, and two former Politico reporters just provided more evidence of that "why" during a podcast this week.

Axios reporter Marc Caputo spoke with Puck reporter Tara Palmeri about the way the media dealt with the Hunter Biden laptop and made a surprising comment.

Caputo noted how Politico ran "that terrible, ill-fated headline" claiming former intelligence officials said the laptop was "Russian disinformation."

“Turns out that story was closer to disinformation, because the Hunter Biden laptop appeared to be true,” he said.

Fixed it for you: Didn't just appear; it was true.

Then they recalled the censorship on social media of stories like that of the New York Post on the laptop.

That's when Caputo dropped a revelation. He said he went to his editor and said, "We need to write about the Hunter Biden laptop."

"I was told this came from on high at Politico, 'Don't write about the laptop. Don't talk about the laptop. Don't tweet about the laptop.' And the only thing Politico wound up writing was that piece that called it disinformation, which charitably could be called misinformation at the least."

Palmeri then recounted writing about the Hunter Biden gun story, and she said she wondered if it would have been published more quickly "if it was a different kind of story."

But that wasn't all. Caputo revealed that in 2019, a rival Democratic campaign to Joe Biden provided him with the tax lien for Hunter Biden for the period of time he worked at Burisma.

Caputo explained he wrote what would have been a "classic story" about "the former Vice President's son" being slapped with the tax lien. But he said, "That story was killed by the editors, and they gave no explanation for that either."

Caputo said the American people don't understand the dumb decisions of "cowardly editors." Palmeri concurred, referring to it as "the man above us."

I wonder who the other presidential campaign was who was dropping the opposition research on Hunter.

But this is why we don't hate the mainstream media enough. And they want us to believe they don't take a side when they do things like this? And the liberal media wonders why the American people don't trust them — they wonder why they're imploding and losing viewers/readers.

Instead of the real story about the laptop, we got a lot of coverage about the letter from the former intelligence officials to cast doubt on the laptop. And Biden was able to use that during his debate to help his campaign. And now you have former CIA Director John Brennan whining about getting his security clearance pulled.

So, are we going to see what are pretty big accusations of suppression covered by the liberal media? I did a quick search, and it's covered by the New York Post and Fox — not seeing any liberal mainstream media outlets so far.
