It's hard to believe all the seeming failures in security that we've already heard about the Trump assassination attempt.
But apparently, as with so many things in the Biden Administration, you can always seem to go lower.
It was bad enough that he was somehow up on a roof so close to former President Donald Trump. It was bad enough that law enforcement saw him more than an hour before the shooting. It was bad enough that, even knowing there was a threat, the Secret Service still let Trump go out on the stage.
There was a report from whistleblowers that most of the people put on Trump's security detail weren't even Secret Service. There was an Iranian threat against Trump so they're claiming they actually had more resources and still this happened. Then there was the Secret Service briefing where they only answered four questions and the Secret Service director running away from Republican senators who demanded answers. And that's just a few of the things.

Unfortunately, now there's one more thing to add to the package of "how could this have happened" -- and this is pretty unbelievable, as our sister site Townhall explains, citing the Wall Street Journal.
A gunman who tried to kill Donald Trump was able to fly a drone and get aerial footage of the western Pennsylvania fairgrounds shortly before the former president was set to speak there, law-enforcement officials briefed on the matter said, further underscoring the stunning security lapses ahead of Trump’s near assassination.
Thomas Matthew Crooks flew the drone on a programmed flight path earlier in the day on July 13 to scour the Butler Farm Show grounds ahead of Trump’s ill-fated rally, the officials said. The predetermined path, the officials added, suggests Crooks flew the drone more than once as he researched and scoped out the event site. [....]
Multiple investigations are under way into how a gunman was able to climb onto a rooftop with a clear line of sight to Trump and open fire with an AR-15 rifle. Police had become suspicious of Crooks more than an hour earlier, when officers saw him milling about the edges of the rally with a range finder and a backpack.
How is that even possible? It shouldn't be possible. But given, everything else that they let happen, it seems right in line with the rest of the colossal failure of security. People were wondering why the Secret Service didn't have drones up to help protect the area, it's stunning to think they didn't but the shooter did, as Fox's Laura Ingraham noted.
FOX NEWS ALERT: ‘Trump gunman flew drone over rally site hours before event,’ reports WSJ.

“Unbelievable. There are growing questions for the Secret Service Director - this is getting worse by the day,” says @IngrahamAngle with reaction from @MarshaBlackburn. pic.twitter.com/0YjLudtOJn
Ingraham said, "This is getting worse on the day."
Her guest Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), was one of the senators who demanded answers from Cheatle at the RNC, ripped into Cheatle for her failure to be transparent, noting this isn't like messing up a sales quota, "When you mess up, people die."
