Decency Is on the Ballot

Remember when Jill Biden claimed that "Decency is on the ballot" during the 2020 campaign?

Joe Biden also jumped in on the same theme.

But he started his run for the job based on a falsehood, a falsehood he's continued to push ever since — that former President Donald Trump had called Neo-Nazis "fine people," which Trump had not done. That was the main reason Biden said he ran. His whole campaign was premised on something that wasn't true —so much for decency from the very outset.

That was followed by such a succession of falsehoods that I'm not sure we've ever seen the like, including inventing stories that could never have happened based on the facts he gave, including one about meeting with an Amtrak conductor who was already dead. Then, even though the story has been debunked, Biden has kept repeating it, time and again. There are so many things to point to when it comes to the failure of decency in the White House, but one has to start there — recognizing something wrong with Joe Biden at the heart of it — since it all flows down from the top.

There was the cocaine found in the White House in July. What made it even worse was the very unserious effort by the Secret Service to get to the bottom of the matter, closing down the case within two weeks. Can we say compromised? Because that's surely what it looked like — that they didn't want to find who the cocaine belonged to. Even Special Counsel Robert Mueller's pit bull blasted the "investigation." Weissmann delivered a great line that was right on the money: “To me, the Secret Service here looks like they can’t find a dead cow in a closet,” he declared. He said there was a lot more they could have done that they didn't.

There was the Pride celebration at the White House with the half-naked, boob-jiggling trans person.

There was the weird Christmas video released by Jill Biden that seemed like it had a Hunger Games look to it, bizarre circus-like furries, and cross-dressing dancers.

There was the Hunter saga that included drugs and prostitutes, but more importantly, questions concerning financial transactions with foreign nationals. The House is now trying to unravel it and Joe's part in it all. Hunter also produced a child that Joe Biden refused to acknowledge until fairly recently. There had been no stockings hanging among the grandchildren's stockings for that little girl. Not recognizing a grandchild while claiming to be the font of decency is more than a little gross. And now they've done away with the stockings altogether, so they won't have to put it up.

All of that is bad.

But perhaps one of the worst things that Biden has brought in that is not in any way decent is how he has treated the American people.

He's created greater division and chaos. He's demonized millions of Americans, painting the supporters of Donald Trump as a threat to the republic in a dark and ugly speech in Philadelphia, and he's kept up the theme ever since. His chief political opponent and the leading candidate for the GOP nomination for president against Biden is now being targeted in multiple criminal actions, something we've never seen before, and that is concerning to the health of our Republic.

He often seems to treat the American people as an afterthought, seen only through the lens of how they might relate to his life and being quite dismissive of them in the process. The people of Maui suffered a devastating fire that killed more than 100 people. First, they had to hear that Joe Biden had "no comment" on their tragedy. Then, when he was shamed into visiting them, they had to hear his story about how he didn't lose his 67 Corvette in a minor fire put out in 20 minutes, and they were not amused. The families of some of the 13 young Americans killed in Afghanistan were not amused when he visited with them, talking more about his son Beau than their children, and kept checking his watch during the ceremony welcoming their children's bodies home. The people of East Palestine, Ohio, have had to deal with concerns about potential toxins from a train derailment. Biden completely blew them off, said he would go visit them, claimed he was busy, and then never went. The American people's concerns about the border or inflation? They are dismissed simply as their failure to understand his great success.

Biden has tainted the very way we operate as a nation, the very soul of our Republic.

Indeed, decency is on the ballot in 2024, and it's so important to vote him out for the health of our Nation.
