It looks like the leftist mutiny against Joe Biden's position on Israel is growing in his administration. 

I reported on what was going on in the State Department -- that about 100 officials including people from US Aid were saying Biden was going along with "genocide" and claimed he was spreading "misinformation" about the conflict. Is it any wonder Biden's foreign policy is messed up with folks like this? That was after the State Department had one official resign.

But now it looks like the mutiny is spreading.

Four hundred government officials from 40 departments and agencies within President Biden's administration signed a letter opposing the president's handling of the Israel-Hamas war and demanded a cease-fire.

The Tuesday letter, first reported by the New York Times, includes officials from the State Department, White House, National Security Council and the Justice Department. The signatories of the letter remained anonymous to protect against professional retaliation.

"We call on President Biden to urgently demand a cease-fire; and to call for de-escalation of the current conflict by securing the immediate release of the Israeli hostages and arbitrarily detained Palestinians; the restoration of water, fuel, electricity and other basic services; and the passage of adequate humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip," the letter reads, in part.

Most are political appointees.

Two political appointees who helped organize the letter to Mr. Biden said the majority of the signatories are political appointees of various faiths who work throughout government, from the National Security Council to the F.B.I. and the Justice Department.

So wait a second. How do you have "signatories" who are anonymous? How can you sign something if you don't put your name on it?  How do we know these people are even real if they don't have real names on the letter? How do we know someone isn't just making it up? And what does it say about the cowardice of these officials if they aren't willing to put their name on their beliefs? 

They want to be slimy and get their way without having to publicly stand behind what they are saying. How like Democrats -- no signature verification or identification needed on anything. Just accept what they say. Why should anyone pay attention to such a letter?

It's also ironic. Biden and the Democrats seeded these leftists throughout the government and now that's coming back to bite them and hurt Biden before the election. Now they have a mutiny on their hands and it's all their fault. Biden is supposed to be the leader but the folks are going to cow him into complying with them. We already see Joe Biden try to appease both sides by spreading malarkey about "pauses."  

This division on the left may just cost him votes and it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. 

But deciding on a ceasefire isn't up to Joe Biden in any event. It's up to Israel. So no matter how much the officials or the folks like the Squad throw tantrums, Israel isn't having a ceasefire, at least not until they take out Hamas. Because their first obligation is to their survival. And whether or not Joe Biden gets it, they do.
