I've reported previously how Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) isn't going along with the Squad and some of the radical left crowd when it comes to calling for ceasefire ibetween Israel and Hamas. Although he didn't name the Squad, he's called out "members of Congress" who were rushing to blame Israel for the hospital explosion, saying who would trust the word of a group that just massacred Israeli civilians?
Fetterman's staff also blasted ceasefire activists who showed up at Fetterman's office in Philadelphia after the activists claimed they were expelled from the office.
Fetterman has made his position on the ceasefire question clear.
"Now is not the time to talk about a ceasefire. We must support Israel in their efforts to eliminate the Hamas terrorists who slaughtered innocent men, women, and children. Hamas does not want peace, they want to destroy Israel. We can talk about a ceasefire after Hamas is neutralized."
But that hasn't stopped folks trying to lean on Fetterman to flip to the ceasefire side.
Fetterman was confronted by someone attempting to do just that at an event in a video you can see here that has gone viral on X. The video has more than 3.75 million views. Daniel Kovalik is an activist and international human rights professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Kovalik was talking to Fetterman when he was interrupted by a man, who sounded like a staffer or security who was off camera.
Kovalik said he could talk to Fetterman, he voted for him and "this is a democracy."
The staffer said, "It absolutely is," to which Kovalik responded, "Well, yeah, yeah, kinda, sort of."
"Ten thousand people in Gaza have been killed, half are children. The pope is calling for a ceasefire, the UN has called for it," Kovalik said. "I'm just asking, you're a good guy, I voted for you, I know you're a nice guy, this is important," the professor continued before being told by the same person off-camera that he needed to leave.
That's when the staffer -- who looked a bit like Fetterman in a Carhartt hoodie, shorts, and a hat -- got between the two as Kovalik was trying to give Fetterman a flyer and physically pushed him away, and out the door of the place.
Fetterman didn't say a word the whole time, and walked away when the staffer came between him and Kovalik. The person taking the video then accused the Fetterman staffer of assaulting Kovalik.
Kovalik then posted the video on X, saying, "I just took on John Fetterman for his failure to support a ceasefire for Gaza and was assaulted. Come see the violence inherent in the system."
The angry leftist reaction on X who were furious at Fetterman for what happened and for saying nothing was funny.
Here's Waleed Shahid, the former spokesperson for the Justice Democrats, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY).
This is awful. @JohnFetterman could have stopped security from shoving this voter out the door, but the Senator just let it happen instead of answering his constituent’s concerns. https://t.co/aX1gmqfkhH

Hey, you leftists voted for Fetterman.
Some thought Kovalik was getting too close, some thought Fetterman had an obligation to listen to a constituent.
Others commented on the "assault" and Kovalik quoting Monty Python about the "violence inherent in the system."

Does this moron realize his tweet literally quotes from a parody of people like him on MONTY PYTHON? https://t.co/EYvQflfrUK

Live look at @danielmkovalik being asked to leave #PASEN John Fetterman’s event and claiming he was “assaulted”?!

Dude imagine living in southern Israel. Then talk about assault. https://t.co/mexanLABr1 pic.twitter.com/j5rJJ8fu7B
It's fun to see the left get gored by the guy that they helped get elected. Hey, you guys voted him in, it's all on you.
But Fetterman is right. It's Israel who's the victim here, not Hamas, and they have a right to take out the terrorists who have been attacking them for years. A ceasefire only gives the terrorists time to regroup to attack again on another day.
