We reported some of the mayhem of looting and rioting that went on in Philadelphia on Tuesday night in the wake of the court decision in the Eddie Irizarry police shooting. Among the stores that were looted were Apple, Lululemon, and Foot Locker. Mass groups of people were charging into the stores and stealing anything they could.  Over 100 young people flooded into the Lululemon, for example.

One of the people who was there laughing and cheering on the looters that we mentioned was Philadelphia social media influencer Dayjia Blackwell, who is known as “Meatball."

Blackwell filmed the looting of an Apple store and at one point challenged the cops to get her. 

“Tell the police they’re either gonna lock me up tonight, or it’s gonna get lit, it’s gonna be a movie,” she said at one point. 

“This is what happens when we don’t get justice in this city,” she screamed as she joined a crowd of youngsters in the street.

Blackwell’s video showed hordes of looters rushing into the Apple store and running away with iPhones and tablets.

“Free iPhones! Free iPhones,” Blackwell yelled.

There was a wild video of her yelling, "Everyone must eat," as rioters looted a liquor store.

But things didn't end well for "Meatball." 

Police pinpointed where Meatball was from her social media posts and then hit her with eight charges, including six felonies, for her alleged involvement in the looting. 

She was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, conspiracy, criminal mischief, riot with the intent to commit a felony, and criminal use of a communication facility, as well as two misdemeanors, including receiving stolen property. 

Blackwell went from laughing and challenging the police to being in tears in her mugshot. She filmed around and found out that things did not end well.

She was also hit with $25,000 bail, which she did make. 

There was still some rioting and looting on Wednesday night. Fifty-two people were arrested by the police over the two days. Numerous stores were hit on the second day, and even a Wells Fargo ATM was stolen and just ripped out of its spot.  

Using the death of someone to justify ripping off iPhones, pricy clothes, or liquor isn't getting "justice"; it's using that person's death for your enrichment. It's an obnoxious and false reaction, whatever the facts in the shooting. But it's something that the left has helped to inspire and justify now for years. Defunding the police was just another outgrowth of this, and it's left some of these cities at a deficit with how to deal with crime, including crimes like this. 

Fortunately, it sounds like with that many charges, Meatball is likely to face some justice herself. 

She posted on Instagram after getting out, claiming she didn't even know what happened and that she was "traumatized."
