As we reported, former President Donald Trump had to show up in a Miami federal courthouse earlier for his arraignment in the classified documents case against him. While no cameras were allowed inside the courthouse (standard for federal courthouses), the president’s motorcade was shown arriving at the courthouse.
He had a ton of supporters there, speaking out on his behalf. Many of them were from the local Cuban community. According to Townhall’s Julio Rosas, about half of them were Latino. Many chanted, “Let’s Go Brandon” and “Cubans for Trump.”
While most there were supporters, there were also some Antifa who were protesting against him.
Trump pled not guilty to all the counts.
After he left the courthouse, he also stopped off at the Cafe Versailles, a famous Cuban hangout. People wished him, “Happy Birthday” (his birthday is June 14, Flag Day) and some also prayed for him in the restaurant including a rabbi. He then said, “Food for everyone!” and bought people food. He also took a photo with Cuban-American MMA fighter Jorge Masvidal, whom he praised as a “great champ.” It was typical of Trump, the ability to forge ahead, despite the adversity, and connect with the people, all of whom were wishing him well.
But after he left the courthouse, he also faced a little bit of drama.
As the motorcade was heading away from the courthouse, one of the protesters jumped out in front of it with a sign. The guy was wearing a striped jumpsuit, playacting at being in prison stripes, so he was probably on the left side of the political spectrum. He was also holding a sign that said, “Lock him up.” That was a bad move as he quickly found out when the Secret Service and security for Trump jumped him and rushed him away from the motorcade.

Once they shoved him over to the side, they swarmed him and it looked like a bystander bopped him in the face with a hat.
Then they took the guy to the ground and put a knee into his back.

I think he found out that it was an unwise move, and chances are that this is one protest action that might get some consequences — when you rush the motorcade of the former president. Let’s see what happens, and if this guy gets a pass. But for this moment, however, he’s going to find out the consequences and spend a little time at least in police custody. So perhaps the prison jumpsuit was right on target for this guy.
