Watch Adam Schiff's Face as His Sucking up to Biden for an Endorsement Fails in Real Time

Joe Biden delivered a flat, rushed, uninspiring State of the Union last night. He didn’t say much beyond his routine of packaged lies.

The only drama on the night was some of the reactions to Biden’s lies and some of the side exchanges, apart from the speech itself. When Joe Biden tried to lie about the Republicans on Social Security and Medicare, they called him out from the floor, with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) calling him a “liar.” Then there was a bit of a throwdown between Rep. George Santos (R-NY) and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) where Romney told him he shouldn’t be there and started calling him names, and Santos fired back at him with some barbs of his own. MTG also had a white balloon, at one point prior to the speech, that she said was to prompt Biden to answer questions about the Chinese spy balloon.

But there was another side exchange after Biden gave his speech, that was just priceless. Interestingly, Biden had multiple military members, including Gen. Mark Milley, around him. If we were a banana republic, I’d say it almost looked like a military guard for him. But you can see Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Ca) engage Biden and try to suck up to him. I can’t tell you the exact words, but it’s clear he’s praising him about his horrible, no-good, mess of a speech, in what I would call a typical Schiff-ian insincere kind of a way. Why? He’s declared to run for Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s seat and he needs — or at least wants — Joe Biden’s endorsement. But after Schiff has done so much lying to help Joe, Joe says a couple of words to him and then just talks right by him to someone else.

The look on Schiff’s face is gold. Biden talks behind him, to someone he calls “Bob,” telling him he has to talk to him “about Cuba.” It looks like it’s Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ).

That sounds like that might be an interesting question as to what that was about. But you can see the deflation in Schiff’s face, or as John Ziegler says, “[T]he exact moment Adam Schiff realized he is not getting Biden’s endorsement for the Senate seat in CA.”

It’s going to be a tough race with Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) who’s popular with progressives already declared, as well as Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) likely to throw her hat into the ring. Not to mention Feinstein, who hasn’t decided whether she’s running again yet. While a lot of folks want her to retire, she hasn’t said yet what she plans to do.

Now, if Schiff were any kind of a decent human being, I might feel sad, that Joe skipped right by him. But because he’s been a slimy, nasty character for such a long time, I have to say it’s a moment that I love — Schiff getting the shaft.
