Billionaire investor and minority owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks is full of hot air most of the time, and he made a spectacular fool of himself while supporting Kamala Harris in her 2024 presidential bid, but he hit the nail on the head in comments Sunday on the podcast “Pod Save America.” In a nutshell, he said the messaging coming out of today’s Democrat party just plain stinks:
“We pick the wrong pressure points,” Cuban said in an interview on Crooked Media’s “Pod Save America.”
“It’s just, ‘Trump sucks.’ That’s the underlying thought of everything the Democrats do. ‘Trump sucks.’ Trump says, ‘The sky is blue’: ‘Trump sucks,’” he continued. “That’s not the way to win. It’s just not.”
Give me the man a trophy. Like a broken clock, he’s right once in a while.

Because it's not about Trump — it's about the people of the United States of America — and what's good for them! And how do you get them to a place where they're in a better position and it's less stressful for them.

Taking up the role of a Kamala cheerleader during the ’24 presidential election, the big-talking entrepreneur famously said, “You never see him [Trump] around strong, intelligent women, ever. It's just that simple.”
That comment has aged incredibly badly as Trump has a very strong chief of staff in Susie Wiles and forceful leaders in Cabinet positions, including DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Attorney General Pam Bondi, among others. Oh, and let’s not forget the president’s wife, Melania, who has become more outspoken in his return to the Oval Office, and his fierce White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt.
A swing and a miss there, Mark.

The fierce anti-Trumper continued, strangely saying that it’s not about the president:
“…it’s not about Trump. It’s about the people of the United States of America and what’s good for them. And how do you get them to a place where they’re in a better position and it’s less stressful for them,” he added.
That milquetoast "messaging" is unlikely to set the world on fire, either, Mr. Cuban.
The Democrats are flailing as Trump racks up win after win while they veer ever leftward and have resorted to performative high-school-theater-level protests and wild accusations. Cuban is so often wrong, but he gets it partially right here: the Dem messaging is failing bigly.
What he misses, however, is that you can’t “message” your way back to popularity if your radical policies and extreme vision for America stink.
