On Thursday night, the House Judiciary Committee met late into the evening, with everyone thinking there would be a vote on whether to pass the Articles of Impeachment out of the Committee.
But Republicans were furious when Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler (D-NY) then decided to delay the vote to Friday morning.
It ended up being a strict party-line vote out of Committee, 23-17. The full House vote then is likely to be next week.
So why did Nadler delay the Committee vote to the morning?
Judiciary Committee member Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL) admitted that it was at least in part because the Democrats wanted more TV audience, “the American people deserve to see it” which they wouldn’t have late Thursday night.

Doesn’t that just say everything about their motivations?
Once again it’s not “sorrowful,” “prayerful,” or about the Constitution; it’s all political and about how to sell it to Americans, rather than operating from actual facts or reality.
Except there was a small problem with their strategy.
First, morning or evening, CNN’s audience is not great. But another point, it’s mostly the folks who are already convinced. Same even for Fox coverage, it’s pretty much people who already know how they’re voting.
But they did manage to confuse a lot of liberal CNN voters.
When you see #Impeached is trending and realize how many people actually think @realDonaldTrump was impeached today. This is very telling of the problems facing this Country. pic.twitter.com/2pbdtrwagZ

Apparently a lot of them thought President Donald Trump was impeached today and were celebrating. That says a lot right there, that they don’t know how any of this works. They probably think if he’s impeached, he’s removed and Hillary Clinton gets to be president. They sure wouldn’t like President Mike Pence. Of course, the impeachment crazed think they can impeach Pence too.
Political resistance news declared him impeached and they were off to the races.
.@realDonaldTrump views impeachment as a "personal humiliation."
It upsets him even more than losing out as #TIMEPersonoftheYear2019 to a 16-year-old girl who's smarter and more popular than he is.
RT to congratulate him for getting #Impeached. https://t.co/u2dcz9oruC

Republicans then had to school the liberals.
Is it any wonder these folks aren’t able to grasp being manipulated by the media or the actual facts behind the Democratic effort against the president when they can’t even grasp the simple fact pattern of how a president is impeached?
Civics really needs to make a comeback in schools and that’s one of the things conservatives really should be pushing at every opportunity to help defeat such ignorance.
