What can be said about Texas Democrat Rep. Al Green, with respect to President Donald Trump, that hasn't already been said? Green (TX-09), clearly suffering from end-stage Trump Derangement Syndrome, on Thursday pledged to bring articles of impeachment against the president, again, before Congress' Christmas break.
Green has made impeaching Trump his full-time side hustle for years, filing and refiling impeachment articles that go nowhere while the House simply shelves them.
Earlier this year, the typically unhinged Democrat already filed impeachment articles against Trump as the 47th president, which the Republican House promptly buried, and now he’s promising yet another round “before Christmas” like it’s a holiday tradition.
But here's the thing, Al:
Even your Democrat comrades appear to have little interest, if any, in yet another round of your absurd Impeachment Theater against Trump. Still, watching you embarrass yourself all over again should be quite entertaining.

Here's Green, again at his most delusional:
There will be articles of impeachment filed before the Christmas break. This, I pledge. We have to participate. This is a participatory democracy. The impeachment requires the hands and the guidance of all of us.
Excuse me? What "hands and...guidance," and of whom?
Trump-loathing Democrats who offer zero policies of their own, only to spend their time, 24x7, obsessing about the pretend evils of Donald Trump? Please.
Here's more, via Fox News (emphasis, mine):
Green also said he and other advocates would hold a peaceful protest at the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.
The announcement of Green’s impeachment effort — his fifth set of filed articles — comes as the Democrat base in Congress has wrestled with how to effectively fight Trump.
Some in the more progressive wing of the party have spoken out against figures like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., over Senate Democrats’ failing to secure concessions out of a 43-day government shutdown.
Even before the shutdown, other figures in the party, like Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, had called for new party leadership in Congress to more effectively put up resistance to Republican momentum in Congress.
While the first two paragraphs above are laughable, the last two are perfectly fine — from the "participatory democracy" perspective Green referenced.
That said, if congressional Democrats would offer serious, bipartisan policies and legislation, vs. remaining singularly obsessed with bringing down Trump, perhaps some of their voters who broke party lines in 2024 to vote for Trump and down-ballot Republicans would "come home."
Will they do so? I wouldn't bet a nickel on it happening.
Also on Thursday, Dave Mytych, outreach lead for For Liberation and Resistance Everywhere (FLARE) — which promotes itself as "the only continuously operating, 24/7 effort to dismantle the 47th President's fascist regime" — publicly criticized congressional Democratic leaders by name, while appearing alongside Green at the press conference:
This is what the American people want. They want fighters that hold the line. Democrats, are you listening? Leader Schumer, are you listening? Leader Jeffries, are you listening?
Where do these TDS-riddled loons get their "This is what the American people want" information?
How many times did we see similar bilge prior to the 2024 election, and what impact did it have? Other than to further ensure a decisive victory for Trump and congressional Republicans, I mean.
Not that it matters, but Green failed to reveal which specific counts of impeachment he would file.
