Watch: DHS Head Noem Rips 'Fake News' CNN for Accusing Team Trump of Slow Response to Texas Flood

In this episode of "Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste"...

As it became obvious that the deadly flooding that ravaged Kerr County, Texas, was going to reach catastrophic levels, something else became even more obvious:

The Democrat Party and their subservient lapdog media were shamelessly going to concoct a way to blame the death and devastation on President Donald Trump and his administration.

Sure enough, as my colleague Bob Hoge reported on Sunday, the quasi-official Democrat Party media blamed everything from DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) to the National Weather Service to budget reductions at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and more — with every one of their predictable accusations being DOA to those who knew the facts.

As a result, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was more than prepared on Monday to smack down the accusations of the Democrats and their sock puppets in he all too eager media by bringing the facts to the press room to counter their disprovable nonsense.

My favorite response to the Trump blame game came from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem during a Thursday morning appearance on "Fox & Friends."

After being asked if she sees CNN as accusing her of "slowing the process" in response to the flood, Noem jumped all over the laughable self-proclaimed "most trusted name in news" in a heartbeat.

After first laughing, Noem tore into the ratings-failing network — bigly:

There ya go — fake news CNN again — it's absolutely trash what they are doing by saying that, because our Coast Guard, our Border Patrol BORTAC teams were there immediately. Every single thing they asked for, we were there.

The governor [Greg Abbott] and the emergency management director were fantastic, and nobody there has said anything about that they didn't get everything that they wanted, or that they needed, and I'm proud of the work that we've done to support that.

Say what you want about Kristi Noem (as some on the left are more than happy to do), but in my book, she's not only doing an excellent job at DHS; she's also a class act.

Noem also talked about the administration's disaster efforts in other areas.

We've got funding going on in New Mexico, as well — North Carolina — so I've been visiting with their leadership teams, and spent quite a bit of time on the phone yesterday with the New Mexico governor — getting them resources, as well.

That's what we do. And the fact that CNN is continuing to be political and push out fake information — false information and lies — is not shocking, but it's a disservice to the country. It's a real disservice to the country because people start to mistrust anything that comes out, then, over the news... they just don't trust anybody anymore.

While Secretary Noem remained — shall we call it "tactful"?  — throughout her comments, I won't as I translate part of what she said:

Like the rest of the Trump-loathing media, CNN doesn't waste a nanosecond during and after any tragedy as they rush to frame their "reporting" with the "best" way they think they can to fault Trump.

It's almost become trite to say, but it's also true: the left loathes Trump more than it loves America and its people.

Toss in death and destruction, and the faux journalists of the left gleefully lick their chops in anticipation of shamelessly blaming Trump — often to the point of twisting themselves into what should be embarrassing pretzels of illogic as they play to dwindling audiences that tune in to hear the propaganda. While it's predictably laughable, it's also, as Noem said, a disservice to the country.

But hey, what could be more important to the lapdog media than blaming the Big Bad Orange Man in the White House for every disaster or setback that comes down the pike?
