Freudian Slip? Ayanna Pressley Says Democrats Are Serious About 'Censoring the American People'

Among my favorite lessons learned from the late Rush Limbaugh was, and I paraphrase: Allow a liberal to talk long enough and he or she will tell exactly who he or she is.

On Wednesday, radical leftist Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) did just that. Speaking at a rally protesting President Donald Trump's stranglehold on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, including ordering CFPB employees to halt much of their work, the "Squad" member proudly declared:

Look, let me tell you something. I’ll take a bit of umbrage here. I’ll speak on behalf of my colleagues. I think I can say we are all willing to work with anyone who’s serious about doing the work of censoring the American people and advancing progress.

Nicely admitted, Ms. Pressley.

While I'm not fond of the overly-used "said the quiet part out loud" line, if I were, I'd use it in this case.

So here's the thing. Whether Pressley's declaration was a Freudian slip, defiantly stupid, or an ill-advised admission of something we've known about the Democrat Party for years, the fact was, she said it.

Trump's dismantling of the tyrannical agency included the February 1 firing of CFPB Director Rohit Chopra. Trump followed Chopra's dismissal with the temporary appointment of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to lead the Bureau. Bessent promptly ordered the CFPB to stop all rule-making, communications, litigation, and other activities.

Trump replaced Bessent on February 7 with Rush Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), as acting director. Vought then froze the CFPB's funding.

In other words, this is yet another set of decisive actions by Trump that continues to set Democrats' hair on fire across America, as the now-apoplectic self-declared "party of the people" bitterly continues self-immolating.

The degree of hysteria within the Democrat Party over the continued discovery by Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cannot be overstated. As DOGE continues to reveal billions of dollars of waste and fraud, the Democrats continue their further decline into TDS-riddled madness.

Why? Connect the dots; it couldn't be easier.

Meanwhile, as major corporations across America continue to axe DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) programs in response to Trump's rightful attack on the leftist ideology that places "equity" over merit, Pressley on Wednesday co-led the Democrats' reintroduction of H.R.40 — the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act — along with Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ). Pressley said during a news conference that "reparations are a necessary step in achieving justice." Yawn.

Pressley also said:

We are in a moment of anti-Blackness on steroids and we refuse to be silent. We will not back down in our pursuit of racial justice.

Bigger yawn.

Where is this "moment of anti-Blackness on steroids?" Show us an example, Ms. Pressley. We'll wait.

The Bottom Line

The Democrat Party continues to prove it still doesn't get what happened on Election Day. Moreover, Democrats can't comprehend why Donald Trump and his administration continue to fulfill campaign promise after campaign promise.

It's called the will of the people, my Democrat friends, which could not have been clearer in the 2024 election. But by all means, please continue to lose your collective minds. Not only is it enjoyable to behold, but it couldn't be more effective — for Trump and the Republican Party, that is.
