The leftists want to cancel Emmy-nominated actress Sydney Sweeney because of photos posted on social media from her mother’s 60th birthday.
The guests who went to Sweeney’s mother’s birthday party included a man in a pro-police t-shirt, and some folks were wearing red hats that said: “Make Sixty Great Again.” Of course, in 2016, former President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan was “Make America Great Again,” so now cancel culture is after Sweeney because they disagree with her family’s political views.
Sweeney tweeted:
“You guys this is wild. An innocent celebration for my mom’s milestone 60th birthday has turned into an absurd political statement, which was not the intention. Please stop making assumptions,” she urged. “Much love to everyone and Happy Birthday Mom!”

According to leftists, even before 2020, supporting police officers is somehow a bad thing. Can’t people have different views and opinions in the United States of America? For the far-left, the First Amendment only exists for them, and anybody who disagrees with their ludicrous views will be canceled.
One Twitter user went as far as saying “if you’re white and unwilling to completely shame your parents for their conservative views, you’re just as complicit…”
seeing sydney sweeney get jumped is beautiful. if you’re white and unwilling to completely shame your parents for their conservative views, you’re just as complicit and need to be escorted out.

So, just because someone has different political views than this Twitter user, he suggests we shame our family for different viewpoints and different beliefs. This is a new low, even for the cancel culture group.
This was not the first time people tried canceling Sweeney. In June, she was criticized for her outfit at the MTV Movie and TV Awards. The “body positivity movement” criticized her … for taking care of her body.
Kerry Justich wrote a piece, citing several social media users and “body acceptance advocates” upset about Sweeney’s outfit. Justich said:
“Why Sydney Sweeney’s micromini outfit feels like a threat to body positivity: ‘So coveted yet unachievable.'”
“Sydney Sweeney had her toned midriff on full display at the MTV Movie and TV awards where she wore a micro-miniskirt paired with a super-cropped collared top by Miu Miu … While the low-rise trend has already been seeing a resurgence, the red carpet moment is triggering a response from people who’d like to leave it in the past.”
Now, it appears that taking care of your body and staying healthy is bad because cancel culture says so. Shaming, no matter what, is wrong. It is ridiculous the lengths that the far-left will go to diminish anything and any individual or group that they disagree with.
The First Amendment exists for every American, regardless of race, religion, or gender. Whether the far-left agrees or disagrees with it, that’s their opinion, and they are entitled to that. Debate, agree to disagree, and have conversations, but the constant tension, and fear of being “canceled” because someone said something a group disagreed with, is insanity.
