‘Horse Spaces Are White Spaces’: NPR Head’s Hilarious Past Tweets Shared in Honor of Defunding

Townhall Media

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) had some fun with the insane past tweets of NPR CEO Katherine Maher in light of the Senate's move to end taxpayer funding of the leftist media organization and PBS.

In a video posted on X, Schmitt shared a clip of him reading Maher tweets about things like her "white mobility privilege," horse spaces, and dreams about sampling nuts with former Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, just to name a few.

"Last night, the Senate officially voted to end taxpayer funding for NPR," Schmitt captioned his post. To celebrate, we read some of the NPR CEO's most deranged tweets. Enjoy."

Schmitt read a few of them, and we will share the ones that really stood out, including one about horse spaces:

....So, America is addicted to white supremacy, and that's the real issue.

I do wish Hillary [Clinton] wouldn't use the language of 'boy and girl' -it's erasing language for binary people.

Lots of jokes about leaving the US, and I get it. But as someone with cis white mobility privilege. I'm thinking I'm staying and investing in ridding ourselves of this spectre of tyranny.

Never underestimate the ability of white people to center ourselves.

I'm grateful to those who have pointed out my phrasing could be understood as trans-erasure.

And then he read the best ones, in my opinion:

Horses inspire awe and foster a sense of identity. More kids should have access to these incredible animals, but most horse spaces are white spaces.

Had a dream where Kamala [Harris] and I were on a road trip in an unspecified location, sampling and comparing nuts and baklava from roadside stands. Woke up very hungry.

During the White House Press briefing on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt brought the receipts against NPR/PBS defunding critics, providing proof it was nothing more than a "propaganda voice for the left."

She pointed out that Maher has labeled President Donald Trump a racist, and her organization refused to cover stories like the Hunter Biden laptop story and former President Joe Biden's "clear mental decline."

"These are not honest news organizations," Leavitt explained. "These are partisan, left-wing outlets that are funded by the taxpayers — and this administration does not believe it's a good use of the taxpayers' time and money."
