On Wednesday morning the House Oversight Committee released a trove of 20,000 documents received from Jeffrey Epstein's estate, and Democrats on the committee quickly tried to use three emails - at least one of which has been in the public domain for some time - out of that release to smear President Donald Trump.
Of course, we know that maneuver was a desperate attempt to pacify their base, which is furious at what they see as the party caving on the Schumer Shutdown.
Democrats and their lackeys in the media are painting these emails as "bombshell" revelations, but all they reveal is how desperate the Democrats are and again demonstrate how low they'll go.
🚨BREAKING: Oversight Dems have received new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes.

In a 2011 email exchange with Ghislane Maxwell, Epstein wrote:
I want you to realize that that dog that hasn't barked is Trump...[REDACTED VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief, etc. i'm 75% there
Maxwell replied, "I have been thinking about that."
Democrats redacted the name of the victim, and they did that for one reason, and one reason only: That victim is Virginia Giuffre. Giuffre stated in a deposition (which is under oath) that Trump never so much as flirted with her, that she met Trump at Mar-a-Lago through her father, and that despite Epstein claiming that Trump was one of his good friends, she never saw the two of them in the same room.
These Epstein/Maxwell emails reference Virginia Giuffre.

Giuffre's testimony contradicts them:
She never saw Trump and Epstein together.
Trump never acted inappropriately towards her (no sex and no flirting).
She was never at Epstein's house with Trump. https://t.co/obTvvQbh8g pic.twitter.com/zOQRQHep7r
In her memoir, "Nobody's Girl," which was published after she died in April 2025, she said Trump helped her make extra money as a babysitter for families who rented out homes at the Mar-a-Lago estate, adding, “Trump couldn’t have been friendlier, telling me it was fantastic that I was there.”
The other two emails are between Epstein and discredited Daily Beast journalist Michael Wolff. Wolff most recently made news in July when the Daily Beast was forced to retract a story he wrote alleging that a modeling agent connected to Epstein introduced Melania and Donald Trump, but he's been angling to get Trump, through Epstein, for years.
In a 2015 email, when Trump was running for president, Wolff emailed Epstein to tell him he'd heard that CNN was going to ask Trump on air about his connection to Epstein. Epstein replied asking, "If we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?" Wolff told Epstein to "let [Trump] hang himself," then speculated on the ways Epstein could use any answer to his benefit.
Then on January 31, 2019, just a few months before Epstein was arrested for the last time, he wrote to Wolff saying something about Virginia Giuffre and Mar-a-Lago (parts of that were redacted) and that Trump never asked him to resign from the Mar-a-Lago Club because he'd never been a member. Then Epstein says, "Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop." Trump knew what, exactly, about the girls? We know that Trump booted Epstein from the club. Some reports say that occurred after Epstein harassed a member's teenage daughter at the club; however, in July 2025 Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that it was because he was hiring away workers, and that those workers were young women who worked in the spa:
"People were taken out of the spa — hired by him — in other words, gone. And other people would come and complain, 'This guy is taking people from the spa.'" "I didn't know that. And then when I heard about it, I told him, I said, 'Listen, we don't want you taking our people, whether it was spa or not spa, I don't want them taking people.' And he was fine. And then not too long after that, he did it again. And I said, 'Out of here.'"
When Epstein said that Trump asked Ghislaine to stop, it's unclear what she was to stop. Whether it was telling her to stop taking his workers, or to stop doing whatever she was doing with those girls, there's nothing wrong with either of those, and, in fact, if he did know that Epstein was more than just a garden variety dirty older man and told them to stop, that's a great thing.
Trump responded to the stunt on Truth Social:

He wrote:
The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects. Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap. The Democrats cost our Country $1.5 Trillion Dollars with their recent antics of viciously closing our Country, while at the same time putting many at risk — and they should pay a fair price. There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our Country, and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats!
Then he followed up with:
In other words, the Democrats are using the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax to try and deflect from their massive failures, in particular, their most recent one — THE SHUTDOWN!
That won't matter to the clapping seals on the left, who are already performing as trained. And on the right, the Democrats' stunt is only serving to unite Trump's base, a chunk of whom are not happy with the positions he espoused in this week's two-part interview with Laura Ingraham.
Solid work, team!
Editor’s Note: After more than 40 days of screwing Americans, a few Dems have finally caved. The Schumer Shutdown was never about principle—just inflicting pain for political points.
