CHIRLA — The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights is getting the DOGE treatment by Congressman Kevin Kiley (R-CA). Kiley exposed in his Capitol Quagmire blog that the organization has been tapped by California Gov. Gavin Newsom to do "grassroots organizing" to aid his redistricting initiative.
Newsom has set a "Special Election" for his Redistricting Sham: November 4. He also just released a poll suggesting 57% of voters are for it. But a Politico poll shows 64% against it. The difference is fraud. Newsom has twisted the ballot language to make “Yes” look like “No.”
That means our main task will be getting out the truth. We actually have three ways to stop Newsom’s scheme. First, I’ve introduced a bill in Congress to halt it. Second, several lawsuits are being filed. Third, we can win the vote on Nov. 4 despite Newsom stacking the deck.
And he is stacking it in every conceivable way: CHIRLA, the group that organized the LA riot, is now leading the "grassroots organizing" for Newsom’s ballot measure. Newsom previously gave CHIRLA $34 million in public funds – my No Tax Dollars for Riots Act will limit such funding.
Kiley appeared on a recent "Fox & Friends" to push for the passage of his "No Tax Dollars for Riots Act," which has the support of President Donald Trump.

Kiley pinpointed CHIRLA's active role during the June Los Angeles ICE Riots.
They [CHIRLA] ran a hotline through Signal where they would look at where ICE was at any given moment and then they would tell the rioters, "There they are," so they could go and impede their activities and commit these acts of violence.

However, civil liberties attorney Laura Powell corrected Rep. Kiley's numbers on CHIRLA. The $34 million in funding was the total they received federally for the year 2023. The dollars funneled directly from Sacramento then, as well as previous and subsequent years, are a much larger amount.

So brazen!
CHIRLA could be defanged and stopped in its tracks with the passage of Rep. Kiley's "No Tax Dollars for Riots Act." If passed into law, the act would claw back any federal funding to the organization, as well as remove its tax-exempt status. CHIRLA is simply another USAID in the making, and like USAID and its fraudulent endeavors, they use their funding to foment violence and overthrow American governance.
Now CHIRLA is in charge of "organizing" for Gov. Hair Gel's Redistricting Scam. Cue the fake signs, ads, and astroturfed "concerned citizens" to force the overturn of the California constitution and individual liberties. As Kiley concluded,
This is battle between people of decency who care about our state and the corrupt political class doing everything possible to destroy it. And when we beat this, Newsom’s presidential campaign will be over before it begins.
