Thursday morning ICE raids at two cannabis farms in Ventura County, California, have turned into a wild standoff between paid protestors, ICE, and the National Guard, which is still ongoing. But Democrats and the Left continue to peddle lies, disinformation, and outright fantasy on what is really happening on the ground.
Our Managing Editor, Jen Van Laar, has been following the protests in real time and gave the actual rundown.
TL;DR about Camarillo ICE raid today and ongoing insurrection (receipts in the thread)

- ICE/BP had a judicial warrant for Glass House, a top cannabis grower, related to harboring illegal aliens
- Employer has been sued for labor law violations
- Union del Barrio and PSL (Party for Socialism and Liberation), implicated in June's LA riots, are involved in sharing the raid location inciting this riot/insurrection
- Other groups involved are 805 UndocuFund, 805 Immigrant Coalition, MICOP (represents indigenous Mixtecs working in the area, and sources say specifically at that farm), VCDefensa, Simi Valley Cares, RISE Simi Valley
- 10 illegal alien children were found on the premises, 8 of them unaccompanied (were they trafficking the kids??)
- Former Clinton admin staffer and former Assemblyman Hector de la Torre is on the board of Glass House
As our senior editor Joe Cunningham reported:
The raid began around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday morning at the facility, which is located on Laguna Road and Las Posas Road. It was conducted alongside a simultaneous operation at another Glass House Farms location in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara County. ICE agents, backed by military-style vehicles, sealed off the Camarillo site with U.S. Border Patrol-branded crime scene tape.
A majority of Americans have no clue where Camarillo, California, is. Most Southern Californians know it as the speed bump before you hit the Carpinteria coastline headed to Santa Barbara. While that inland farm area used to be known for its strawberries, it is now the perfect place to house a "legal" weed operation which also uses illegal aliens to do its work. Glass House Farms is the state's largest licensed marijuana grow operation. Why are they in bed with Mexican drug cartels to illegally traffic children?
The left doesn't want to talk about that. Instead, as my colleague Bonchie covered, it's all about trashing ICE and protecting farm workers, who are only here to make a better life for themselves and pick your crops.
Sure, Jan.
But as I said, the truth of the situation is far more disturbing than the picture Newsom and Gomez attempted to paint. As it turns out, this was not a "strawberry" farm (not that it being so would have mattered). It was a weed farm, and ICE was there to arrest the person running the operation for harboring illegal aliens. These weren't just any illegal aliens, though. When the federal agents arrived, they found trafficked illegal immigrant children on site, presumably being used as child laborers.
Ten children. Eight of them unaccompanied minors. Probably part of those 300,000 unaccompanied minors that the Biden-Harris administration lost. Remember them?
So, why have eight of them been found at a LEGAL WEED OPERATION?
Democrats are calling for an investigation into the ICE raids in Camarillo, California.

Why aren’t they asking the question: “Why are children at a Pot farm?” pic.twitter.com/13bagOuLOI
Border Czar Tom Homan appeared on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" and called out this mess.
BREAKING: Tom Homan just WENT OFF about the foreign child labor being used at a marijuana grow facility, says that ICE has already found 10,000 missing children.

Make no mistake, Gavin Newsom allowed this to fester.

Leftists are nothing if not consistent. Instead of condemning the fact that a supposed American business is trafficking children, they are doubling down on the hackneyed narrative that peaceful protesters are being attacked for exercising their First Amendment rights.

Even more disturbing, that farm workers and those rescued children were tear-gassed and targeted by ICE for no apparent reason other than "tRUMp NaZIs!" Few are asking the right questions, and the stupid people are playing follow the leader. The Mayor of Oxnard, the community next door to Camarillo, as well as the Oxnard Chief of Police, issued this propaganda about the ICE raids adversely affecting their "peaceful" community.
WATCH:
It’s stunning how every major ICE raid is turning up scores of child slaves, some as young as 7 or 8 years old.
— Dr. Ben Braddock (@GraduatedBen) July 11, 2025
Nearly as stunning is how indifferent people are to it.
And right on cue, The Guardian follows up with this nonsense.

Then there's this brilliant take about food security and terrorizing people who only want to feed us.
Whut?!
🚨BREAKING: ICE just swarmed Ventura County fields, hauling away the very farm workers who keep America’s produce aisles stocked.
— Brian Allen (@allenanalysis) July 10, 2025
We’re arresting assets; treating the backbone of our food chain like a threat. That’s not “border security.” That’s self-sabotage in uniform. pic.twitter.com/GgZvnXbVsd
Arresting "assets"? The mind boggles. No, they are not assets: They are humans being used as slave labor. They are tools of the cartels to destabilize the economy by depressing wages and gaming the system against Americans and American industry. Allen Analysis (@allenanalysis) acts as though they're doing deep undercover work rather than being exploited for their work.
But none is more egregious than the continued brain-dead responses by California's Governor Gavin "Hair Gel" Newsom. Did you know that Newsom made cannabis legalization his signature campaign arm as lieutenant governor, and as governor, he has signed more laws to promote cannabis businesses and legalize marijuana's sale and use? So, one wonders what stake he still has in this industry, which, instead of allowing personal use and growth for average citizens of this supposedly non-addictive substance, has instead created a new arm for the Mexican cartels to traffic more humans?
California prosecutes child exploiters and traffickers.

Trump tear-gasses children, rips them from their parents, and deports farmworkers.
Priorities. https://t.co/4BAslgkYfD
Apparently, DHS has questions, too. We will see if Newsom can interrupt his 2028 presidential pre-gaming to answer them.
They have truly lost the plot. The biggest tragedy: They have no interest in finding it.
Editor’s Note: Democrat politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.
