President Trump retweeted a post on Thursday by @TrumpWarRoom which included a Washington Examiner story that names the alleged whistleblower. Intended as a dig against the whistleblower’s attorney Mark Zaid, the tweet says,  “It’s pretty simple. The CIA ‘whistleblower’ is not a real whistleblower!”

The article, written by reporter Kerry Picket and entitled “Schiff hired former colleague of alleged whistleblower Eric Ciaramella the day after Trump-Ukraine call, is about Adam Schiff’s decision to hire Sean Misko, a close friend and former colleague of the whistleblower, as an aide on July 26, 2019. This is one day after the infamous telephone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was made. It is also just two weeks before the complaint was filed.

Misko and Ciaramella worked together on the National Security Council and are said to have a “bro-like” relationship.

Although we might be tempted to question this little coincidence, the left has been quick to go on the offensive. Numerous liberal media outlets are reporting that Trump may have violated federal law.

It doesn’t matter that everyone in Washington, D.C. knew the identity of the whistleblower within days of the story’s release or that investigative reporter Paul Sperry revealed his name to the world on October 30th. Heck, even journalist Mollie Hemingway mentioned it on Fox News‘ “Media Buzz” sending host Howard Kurtz into a state of shock. Nor does it matter that Ciaramella isn’t a real whistleblower, but just another highly partisan member of the deep state who was willing to do “whatever it takes” to remove the President from office.

It gives the left something new to be outraged about while they wait to see what Nancy Pelosi’s next move will be. Maybe they can add this to the articles of impeachment.
