Watch This Woman Show You How Too Much Politics Makes You Incapable of Healthy Social Behavior

Now and again, I'll come across a video that reminds me just how poisonous politics can be when you sink yourself too deeply into it.

A woman in a video films her own psychotic reversal of friendship and respect over learning that a co-worker of hers is a conservative. As she notes, she admired this coworker and pegged him as a leftist, especially since they worked in climate technology. She describes him as very intelligent, and that the fact that he's a conservative is "surprising" to her.

She then adds "disgusting," which I can only assume is her trying to come up with what she thinks is a good justification for what she says next.

"But what's most surprising to me is the level of sudden hatred I have for him," says the woman. "Sudden hatred for this man who I used to respect."

"I f**king hate him now," she adds in the video.

While it happens on both sides, the Right's refusal to dehumanize everyone keeps them from devolving into antisocial monsters by and large. The Right is okay with making enemies out of communists, Islamists, and anyone willing to deconstruct Western civilization through violence or bad-faith influence, but thanks in large part to its Judeo-Christian beliefs and its respect for human life, we very rarely ever look at people who disagree with us as worthy of abject hatred. We don't dehumanize people until they give us a solid reason to stop seeing them as human.

But I think that the reason we don't fall to that level of social dumbassery is that the Right doesn't need to dehumanize its opponents to understand right from wrong. We're typically free to make up our own minds about the path we want to take and opinions we have, and so we don't need those bowling alley bumpers that make our opinions go in the direction others want them to.

But the Left doesn't operate that way. They need to make monsters out of people so that, when the facts and inconvenient truths come a knockin', the hatred of the messenger for being somewhere to the right of them overrides their sense, and they can shut them out in good conscience. They're allowed to lose control of their emotional faculties and be as irate as they like because they're doing so with righteous indignation.

The nuance doesn't matter; the facts are just the lies of the enemy, and acting like a child throwing a tantrum is a noble act, especially if it stops the words of these Hitlerites from reaching your ears, or the ears of those around you.

Around this time in 2025, the attacks on Teslas were ongoing because of Elon Musk's work with DOGE. Vandalizing Teslas became a favorite pastime for leftists, and what was interesting was that some of these people who were doing the damage weren't unwashed Antifa types. They were grown, well-to-do men and women who almost looked bewildered when they were confronted for their behavior.

These people let their emotions drive them, so much so that their conscious intention takes a back seat, and they have no explanation for why they did what they did when they're brought back down to reality:

It's only when confronted directly with consequences does the emotionally driven person seem to truly get the hint that they goofed, just like the man did in the video above. When he says he didn't intend to scratch a swastika into the man's car... he's partly telling the truth. He wasn't thinking at all. He was letting his emotions guide him, and he ended up doing something stupid he could've avoided if he just allowed himself a moment of common sense.

The same applies to social situations when you're consistently breathing in your own political gas. You make stupid social decisions, including bombing your own friendships or working relationships with people around you for mere disagreements on political matters. There is no "agree to disagree" for the more radical parts of the Left, which have increasingly taken over the party. There is only black and white thinking. Allowing nuance in could result in being seduced by the Right's influence, which has been labeled as every social sin in the world, supports the white patriarchy, and wants to kill everyone poor.

It's a stupid thing to believe that the Right wants that... but this is what making politics your entire personality can do to you.
