"Democracy" has to be the most abused word in modern times, and primarily around Democrats.
They love to throw it out whenever they need to sufficiently scare someone into thinking that anything that gives Republicans, conservatives, Elon Musk, Donald Trump — or whoever today's bogeyman is — a leg-up is somehow going to result in the end of Western civilization, the end of America, and the end of you.
It's a gross tactic, but a tried and true one.
As I've said before, however, the Democrats used this tactic one too many times, and now it's all backfiring. Years of telling everyone the sky is falling and years of it not happening have caused most people to shrug off the theatrics at best, or find them useless and annoying at worst. Now, the only people who truly take Democrats seriously are the radicals they created through fear and loathing.

It's that fear and loathing that drives everything Democrats do. They can't just take logical steps to make sure that they do the best job they can. Everything has to be performative and grandiose. The gestures have to be large because they don't know how to push out a message without them. What the message does to people beyond the intended result is not their concern.
So when they tell you Democracy is on the line, they rarely truly ever mean it, but they sure want you to think they're telling the truth. They want you to panic, become enraged, fearful, and hateful.
I wish I were being hyperbolic here, but years and years of this being demonstrated tell me I'm not.
Because those years of experience writing on Democrats tell me that what they truly care about isn't Democracy, it's not you, it's power. They're willing to be hypocrites in broad daylight, lie to your face when you know the truth, and put innocent people in harm's way if it means they can hold onto, or gain, power for themselves.
For a Democrat, there is no higher calling than gaining power. Their aim isn't the improvement of "democracy," it's using it like a tool to get what they want.
As you know, we are not a Democracy. We're a Constitutional Republic of laws. A lot of these laws pertain to how politicians and the government can behave. These laws are there for our protection and to make sure the people's business gets done in a sufficient manner. Party politics is an inevitable issue when it comes to the business of the country, but one way or another, the will of the people is the ultimate endgame.
Democrats love to claim they respect that all the time, but we see how this is false as clear as day with the Texas Democrats.
As I reported on Wednesday, Texas House Democrats fled the state to blue states like Illinois and New York in order to stop the House from reaching a two-thirds quorum on a GOP-backed redistricting plan that could give Republicans five extra seats in the U.S. House.

Now you're watching as the same Democrats who hold protecting Democracy as the highest and noblest of pursuits... completely abandon it in order to protect the power of the Democrat Party. It's the only way they can protect it now, because all of their raging and foot stomping for the past few decades proved to the people that this isn't a serious party, and they shouldn't be in charge, by and large.
They are irresponsible, prejudiced, and short-sighted. They ruined our economy, flooded our streets with crime, opened our borders, and have so many scandals to their name that I've lost track of them all.
In states like Texas, the people have made it clear that Republicans should be in charge, and that's reflected in this redistricting. Democrats are resorting to these underhanded, non-democratic tricks to hold onto the power they've abused.
They love to say everything is a threat to Democracy that goes against their agenda, but I think it's pretty clear who the real threat is. It's the party that abandons the people before the people can abandon them.
