The transgender movement was one of the most sacred of leftist cows. One could say it still is, and that's one of the many reasons Democrats lost the 2024 election.
One thing's been made clear to corporations by the people, and it's that transgenderism doesn't sell. Movies, products, and even ideas die very painful deaths because it pushed too much of the left's most ridiculous idea on the people.
You can ask Bud Light about that.
But one thing that I find interesting is the stunning lack of fear greater society has when it comes to the transgender cause. We now have solid proof that corporations are shrugging off the threats and complaints made by these groups in Warner Bros, which owns HBO.
According to Variety, HBO is doubling down on working with J.K. Rowling on the new Harry Potter series despite complaints of "transphobia" from the neon blue-haired, and mentally ill:
“We are proud to once again tell the story of Harry Potter — the heartwarming books that speak to power of friendship, resolve and acceptance,” the statement continued. “J.K. Rowling has a right to express her personal views. We will remain focused on the development of the new series, which will only benefit from her involvement.” (A rep for Mylod referred Variety to HBO; a rep for Gardiner did not respond to a request for comment.)
A short statement, but one that carries a lot of weight.
This is effectively saying "yeah, we heard you hate Rowling for her views about transgenderism... we don't care, we're still working with her."
It's hard to think that this kind of statement would have been unthinkable to make half a decade ago. It would have resulted in untold backlash from activists groups, media figures, and politicians. The business to business relationships with other companies would have suffered immensely... yet here we are. WB told the permanently outraged to kick rocks.
That's not a good look if you're the authoritarian crowd who want to keep society under your thumb through guilt and suppression of ideas. This was the WB saying, "our ideas are going to actually be diverse, thanks."
And it truly goes to show something else that the left would rather you not figure out.
In order to defeat evil, you just have to endure as you refuse to move. We've seen constant reminders that when the left comes for you, the worst thing you can possibly do is apologize and back down, because this doesn't appease them. It just tells them you're easier to bully and that they can take their time in destroying you.
Rowling, like many, was constantly assaulted in various ways by the trans crowd. Her name was dragged through the mud, and there were attempted lawsuits against her, such as from the 2024 Olympics boxer Imane Khelif who claimed to be female and boxed female boxers. However, a leaked medical report released in early November claimed that what Khelif has is a 5-Alpha deficiency, making the genitals deformed. According to the report, Khelif was born without a uterus and with testicles, which would make him a man.
Rowling was also abandoned by many people who once loved her. The A-List cast of the Harry Potter movies denounced her despite owing her everything, and of her once-loyal fans, including mega-fans who created entire clubs and podcasts around her, now treat her as if she has leprosy.
Yet, Rowling held firm and, in the end, wasn't just proven right, she was proven valuable. She maintained her individuality, and refused to meld into the NPC-esque body politic where your opinions and beliefs are handed to you daily, not naturally developed.

Rowling, and indeed everyone who withstood the social pressure of the transgender movement at the height of its power, has won. While the infection is still here, it's clearly receding. Soon, it will be relegated to the fringes of society, where it belongs.
