North Carolina School Gave 2nd Grade Children a Handout on White Privilege

The social justice community isn’t content to just brainwash college students into being race-obsessed drones. They want to reach them as early as elementary school.

According to the WTVD-TV, a 2nd-grade student in North Carolina’s Hunter Magnet Elementary School was handed a handout on “white privilege” wherein the student was instructed to recognize white privilege and “the disproportionate number of white people in government, media and the entertainment industry.”

The pamphlet is reportedly a part of an 11 step program on “focusing on generating awareness and empathy to create a safe and equitable Hunter Community,” and is being led as a project by the school’s PTA.

The mother of the student, Amber Pabon, has no desire to bring this kind of thing to the attention of her 8-year-old son at such a young age despite the fact that, as a member of the black community, she believes that talking about racism is important.

“I think the message itself is inappropriate because, yes, there is racism out here, and they need to learn about it, but let the parents do that,” she said. “Because like I said, if she’s teaching him the way she knows, it could be completely different from the way I know. And me being part of the black community, I know different from how the white community sees it.”

According to Pabon, her child has already asked if white people were better than him. For Pabon, this was an awful thing to do to her child, who is not focusing on race at his age, and shouldn’t have to.

“He’s 8 years old. What does he need to know about racism or white privilege?” Pabon added.

According to WTVD-TV, the pamphlets were really meant for the parents, however, they reportedly only received step 3. Parents have been told that they can opt out of this program, which Pabon has reportedly done.

This is a wise move. The very concept of “white privilege” is a racist notion, and attempting to teach anyone to believe in this concept — especially children — is a way to further divide races into being wary or angry at one another.
