Harsh Deception at the Daily Beast With a Desperate Headline About Donald Trump and the Epstein Files

The press is a source of dark amusement these days, where the perpetual narrative that President Trump is seeking to deflect attention away from the Epstein Files dominates. These charges are always made with an insistence that guilt is apparent, and yet we have yet to see anything emerge that can be confidently pointed at as hard proof. They insist they have a meal prepared based on a cookbook, while never obtaining the needed ingredients, and the media are left peckish as a result.

One of the worst examples of our temerarious press is seen as The Daily Beast trots in with a bold claim that finally, some Epstein evidence has been confirmed — and this stands out as a sterling piece that typifies the malpractice. The site insists that “new” details have emerged, and these “corroborate” what an accuser has said – that is, until you begin to read past the scathing headline. This is some high-level sophistry at work.

There was some supreme work behind crafting that headline, because in the most technical analysis, it is accurate. Yes, some new details have been found, and yes, they back up claims made by the individual. And, yes, this individual is a sex accuser of President Trump. But this is an example of Grade-A conflation, because those three elements, while in play, are not at all connected.

The Beast bases this libelous entry on a report from the Post & Courier newspaper, out of South Carolina, where two reporters have dug into the specifics behind the FBI entries of Trump’s 13-year-old (at the time) accuser, who came to the Bureau with her story during Trump’s first term, and just prior to Jeffrey Epstein’s jailhouse demise.

This is the same accuser who has a deeply problematic past, and whose testimony has been all but laughed out of court…but if trial documents end up recording laughter, it would serve as confirmation. So what we are talking about is an investigation into the numerous boasts made by this alleged victim, and local journos have corroborated some of her testimony. With one significant caveat. There is no actual evidence, so says Cameron Adams, at The Daily Beast:

The woman’s claims of assault against Epstein, Trump, and (a third party) remain unproven, while no direct evidence backing up the alleged crimes has been uncovered.

I’m sorry, could you repeat that again? “Unproven”? “No direct evidence..”?!?! And yet you clowns went with that headline all the same???

Also noteworthy is that this little yet completely disqualifying nugget is not found until hundreds of words deep in the slander. This follows the practice seen from the Post & Courier, where Marilyn Thompson and Mitchell Black spewed thousands of words to detail all of their findings from the report, made by this still nameless woman. Little mention is made of what they did not find, namely, very little involving Epstein and nothing at all involving Trump.

What they accomplished was, by looking into the claims made by the accuser, ferreting out local details involving those accusations. Much of their report is centered on a male who is said to have also sexually assaulted her as a teenager, and that this man was connected to Epstein, who also assaulted her. This is the accusation that some have exposed as problematic, as she has said Epstein hired her as a babysitter and then abused her in a South Carolina residence.

There is no record of Epstein ever owning such, or even ever staying in the region. And again, it takes several paragraphs before the paper gets around to supplying readers with a rather pertinent dose of information (emphasis added to underscore the deception):

Her assault claims against Epstein, (the third party), and Donald Trump remain unproven, and the White House has vigorously denied the assertions about the president. No direct evidence has been uncovered supporting the assault claims.

What the Daily Beast and the Carolina operatives…I’m sorry, JOURNALISTS…are striving for here is to suggest that since some of this woman's testimony to the FBI has been confirmed, it should be held that her charges against President Trump are valid as a result. The vast majority of the report is centered on the man claimed to have assaulted this woman and establishing some of his business operations, in both South Carolina and Ohio.

Yet the paper could not come up with anything concrete regarding the Epstein files' details. They do not establish that Epstein stayed at a property arranged by the alleged victim’s mother (as claimed), and there is absolutely zero to be seen regarding her charges against Donald Trump. The paper cannot even draw up a threadbare bond between this individual and the famed sexual predator.

While The Post and Courier has not independently verified a connection between (the third party) and Epstein, the New York financier had many Ohio connections, including his billionaire client Les Wexner, who owned The Limited and Victoria’s Secret retail empires.

This is sheer desperation. They found no connection whatsoever between these two men, BUT Epstein also had business interests in the state of Ohio! So that means…absolutely nothing. This would not even be entertained in court as circumstantial evidence. Yet the Post & Courier, and then The Daily Beast, strain mightily to sell the concept that all of these useless tangential specifics prove something.

This is exactly the kind of lawn fertilizer we have seen packaged in the press for years now. As I have said before, if there is anything tangible to claims of assault on minors by Trump, that should be actionable. But at the same time, if we are to charge anyone with the heinous act of child sexual assault, then you'd better have firm proof this happened. This is on par with the stance I took on the Russian Collusion issue, where I said this is a serious charge, so it requires serious evidence. All we have been granted are fun-house mirror reflections, and most of those have been cracked and smudged.

This leads to these laughably desperate lurches at “Ah-HA!” journalism that blow up in the faces of journalists in Wile E. Coyote ordnance fashion. Millions of files have been released, and nothing at all approaching serious proof has been revealed.

The hopeful sounds of journalists that something still will emerge, that conviction-level documents exist but are being hidden, bear all of the earmarks of the conspiracy theorist who refuses to let his beliefs die. The lack of evidence only proves that something exists, the lack of a confession proves guilt, and the lack of years passing without any details leaking proves the lengths of the cover-up.

Next, we will be told that the hard evidence of Trump’s guilt will be sealed in a trunk and stowed on board for the newly proposed return mission to the Moon – which will surely be faked.
