It has been rather disturbing to watch as many press members have been willing to politicize the airline crash in D.C. that took the lives of over 70 people. They cannot seem to wrap their minds around accusing Trump of culpability, then getting angry when he allegedly politicized the issue and had to be reminded by a government official about their past willingness to jump to conclusions on other disasters and tragedies.
But this was not the only imbalanced thinking seen in the press. Ken Dilanian expressed dismay that Tom Holman was out with ICE agents on immigration raids, and he made a number of revealing comments in the process. We also will look in on National Public Radio as it delivered a clear sign of taking a stand on a news story based entirely on Trump’s words – the outlet disputed his position on astronauts at the space station, despite delivering a number of previous reports supporting his very terminology.
Then we close with a laugh, as Lawrence O’Donnell was very bothered by what he saw at the White House press briefing this week; the journalists in attendance were professional and behaved in a polite manner. GASP - Scandal!
