In the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination by a left-wing ideologue, FBI Director Kash Patel showed up on Capitol Hill to be berated by some of the most dishonest partisans in the country.
As RedState reported, Patel clashed with Sen. Adam Schiff, calling the primary pusher of the Russian collusion hoax the "biggest fraud to ever sit in the United States Senate." Other deserved descriptors included Schiff being a "disgrace" and a "coward." For context, Patel was close friends with Kirk, and that obviously left him in no mood to put up with the typical nonsense.

Of course, that didn't stop various Democrat senators from perpetrating their typical nonsense. Enter Sen. Mazie Hirono with this incredible self-own.
Mazie Hirono is BIG MAD that the FBI is requiring certain applicants to pass a fitness test, including pull-ups "which a lot of women cannot because of physiological differences?"

So men and women ARE different, senator? pic.twitter.com/DZLttvIgl8
HIRONO: Let's move on to my (mumbles incoherently). You've been asked some questions about changes to your hiring standards, they including college degrees, and, possibly the age. But, you know, one question I had is (long pause), that you are now requiring applicants to be able to do a certain kind of pull-ups, which a lot of women can not because of physiological differences. Are you requiring these kinds of pull-ups?
Wait, wait, wait. Hold up. How can that be? I've been assured by my intellectual betters within the Democratic Party, including Hirono herself, that there are no physiological differences between men and women. In fact, I've been assured that pointing out that men have biological advantages over women in things like sports is a bigoted lie. In fact, Hirono blocked legislation in 2022 that would have protected women from having to suffer at the hands of men who have "physiological differences" to them.
In fact, Hirono was so proud of her actions that she plastered them on her website under the headline "Senator Hirono Blocks GOP Attempt to Advance Anti-Transgender Legislation."

Isn't it funny how their entire ideology changes the moment it's convenient? For his part, Patel treated Hirono's question with all the mockery it deserved.
PATEL: We are requiring a physical program at BFTC at Quantico because FBI agents carrying guns in the field have to chase down bad guys and do really hard work, and the physical fitness standards of those agents are appropriately assessed.
HIRONO: So are you requiring these kinds of pull-ups?
PATEL: We are requiring everyone to pass the 1811 standards at BFTC. If you want to chase down a bad guy and put him in handcuffs, you'd better be able to do a pull-up
HIRONO: Excuse me, the reason I ask, the reason I ask is that there are concerns about whether or not being able to do these kinds of harsh pull-ups is really required of FBI agents. Anyway, this is...
PATEL: Doing one pull-up is not harsh (crosstalk) and there are always medical exemptions to them.
HIRONO: I am really concerned...
Watching this woman operate is so painful. She can't speak English well, so you're struggling to figure out what she means half the time, and when she is getting her words out, she does so while struggling to read her script from a page. Did she really need notes to ask this stupid question?
As for her "concerns," they are laughable. The idea that an FBI agent in the field shouldn't be expected to do a single pull-up to be fit for duty is insane. You can't have federal law enforcement so out of shape that they can't complete a basic physical test, and having known many women who are in good shape, female physiology does not prevent them from doing a pull-up.
But this is where we are. We have a mainline political party that believes even the most simple standards are somehow discriminatory and bigoted for women, while at the same time insisting men and women aren't physically different. It's absurd, but it's exactly what you'd expect from someone as mind-numbingly insufficient as Mazie Hirono.
