Newly revealed emails between Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Hunter Biden are raising eyebrows. According to Fox News, the president’s son had a close relationship with Blinken. That included Hunter Biden being hosted at the State Department in 2015.
Why is that year important? Because it was right at the peak of Hunter Biden’s foreign escapades, including his stint on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a meeting with Hunter Biden at the State Department in July 2015 when he was serving as the deputy secretary of state in the Obama-Biden administration and Hunter was on the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, according to emails reviewed and verified by Fox News Digital.
The ties between Blinken and Hunter Biden could face increased scrutiny after former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell testified to the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees last week that Blinken, as President Biden’s then-campaign senior adviser, “played a role in the inception” of the public statement signed by intelligence officials claiming Hunter’s abandoned laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign just weeks before the 2020 presidential election.
The pieces are starting to come together, and the web of corruption is expanding. As RedState reported previously, Blinken, acting on behalf of the 2020 Biden campaign, was the driving force behind the infamous letter from 51 current and former intel agents decrying the Hunter Biden laptop story as “Russian disinformation.” That letter was then used in a debate by Biden to dismiss the story and claim the Russians were involved.
That’s small potatoes compared to what these emails show, though. According to one of them, Hunter Biden requested an in-person meeting with Blinken. Upon his invitation being accepted, the president’s son then forwarded the email to Devon Archer. Why is that important? Because Archer also served on the board of Burisma.
“Have a few minutes next week to grab a cup of coffee?” Hunter asked. “I know you are impossibly busy, but would like to get your advice on a couple of things.”
“Absolutely,” Blinken replied. “I’m just about to land in Tokyo en route back DC from Burma. I’ll be in office from Tuesday on. Copying Linda in my office to find a good time. Look forward to seeing you. Tony.”
Hunter then forwarded Blinken’s response to his business partner and fellow Burisma board member, Devon Archer.
Reportedly, the original meeting didn’t take place. It was rescheduled in July 2015, and Blinken sent a follow-up email to Hunter Biden saying it was great to “catch up.” Hunter Biden was apparently in contact with Blinken years before that, though. Another email shows that he got in contact with Blinken’s wife and solicited his personal email address to send him “something.”
Ask yourself, what Hunter Biden, who was on the board of Burisma at the time, could have possibly had to talk about with Blinken that wasn’t business related? And why was he alerting a member of the Burisma board about the meeting? Whatever was said in that meeting would likely be of a lot of interest to House Republicans as they probe the Biden family.
Wherever this leads, it’s clear that Blinken is not an innocent bystander in all this. In just a week, he’s been exposed as a Biden family lackey in multiple ways. Did he abuse his office at the State Department to help Hunter Biden? It sure looks that way, but we’ll need more information to see how far this really goes.
