It’s been a rough few weeks for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

In the blink of an eye, she’s seen her influence (at least outside of socialist circles) drop dramatically as her chosen candidates continue to face plant. Last week, I wrote about her failed attempt to primary a blue dog Democrat in Dallas, and then there’s the precipitous fall of Bernie Sanders. It’s hard to believe, but it’s only been 10 days since Bernie was thought to almost assuredly be the nominee.

That means it’s time for AOC to rant while becoming intoxicated about random things.

Everything is racist.

I genuinely thinking AOC is losing it a bit. Not in the Joe Biden “I’ve got dementia” way, but just in her general psyche. She’s seen such a sudden rise to the top but has now has plateaued, and she doesn’t seem to be handling it well. The glowing magazine spreads have mostly stopped and CNN isn’t begging her to come interview every other day anymore. She’s also aligned herself with a portion of the party which is being pummeled in the current atmosphere. Her “movement” may be the future of the left, but for now, it’s still Joe Biden’s party.

The jumping on Instragram to chug alcohol and riff on racism and the end times isn’t a good look. It also strikes me as fairly unhealthy. This is the issue with the lack of faith on the left. They are desperately searching for something to provide meaning in their lives given their absence of spirituality. In response, they latch onto anything to make them feel like they are “righteous.” It always ends with them just them parroting nonsense, though. It’s sad when you think about it.

Meanwhile, the Democratic leadership can’t be enjoying this. It makes their party seemed unhinged. AOC doesn’t care though. She’s going to do whatever she wants to do, party be damned. That’s good for Republicans, I suppose.
