According to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), agents for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shouldn’t be deployed at airports during his latest partial government shutdown because it’s “really disturbing” and President Trump is “asking for trouble.”
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, meanwhile, (NY-08), took it a step further and said that ICE might “brutalize or in some instances kill” innocent passengers at airports. Histrionics, much?
I wonder what they’ll do with this story? It certainly doesn’t fit their narrative. An ICE agent saved a baby’s life, you see:

Video shows the boy’s father panicking as the boy goes limp in his arms, before the ICE agent runs over to help. DHS says the ICE agent assessed the boy, performed the Heimlich maneuver on him, and he began breathing again and made a full recovery.
I bet neither Schumer nor Jeffries will make a statement about this act of heroism.

DA Who Called ICE ‘Wannabe Nazis’ Escalates at Philly Airport, Threatens Arrest of Federal Agents
The Department of Homeland Security described what happened Thursday in a statement to Fox News:
WASHINGTON – On March 25, 2026, an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent helping to support Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York jumped into action to help save the life of a one-year-old child experiencing a medical emergency.
One can only imagine the dread this poor father felt as his child appeared to be nearly dead:
The heroic actions of this officer began when a one-year-old child became unresponsive in the arms of his father, unable to breathe for almost two minutes. CCTV review shows a passenger in a TSA Precheck line holding his one-year-old in his arms when the child’s arms go lifeless; panic ensues, and the father is seen scrambling around the area, and calling for help.
Rather than abusing people, this ICE agent was there to help them:
The agent working at his post, heard the screams from the father and other passengers and sprinted to the scene. The father handed the child to the officer, who then assessed the unresponsive child and began performing the Heimlich maneuver. After a few seconds, the child started breathing again. EMS personnel arrived on scene with medical equipment to further monitor and re-assess the child. The child was re-assessed and determined to be healthy enough to fly.
ICE has been savagely demonized by Democrats, and in fact, the Dems are refusing to fully fund DHS unless their demands for insane reforms to the agency are met. All officers are trying to do is clean up the mess Joe Biden left with his disastrous immigration policies.
This episode shows yet again that they are humans, not devils. For Democrats to treat those serving our country as enemies of the state is depraved.
