The Democrats' continued refusal to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) amid the Iran strikes, and the increasing threats to (and terrorist attacks against) the homeland, should be something that outrages every single American, regardless of political affiliation.
So, too, should the extraordinarily long lines seen in recent weeks at airports across the country, the result of unpaid TSA agents calling in sick, something RedState has extensively documented as the partial government shutdown approaches the six-week mark.
Thankfully, President Trump having ICE step in at airports to help fill the TSA gap has eased the long lines and tensions among travelers considerably. But the issues remain at some airports, something we saw play out on Wednesday at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

As RedState reported, ICE agents were seen this week assisting at the Bush airport, handing out water bottles and standing in line for people who needed to go to the bathroom.
Though that was a welcome sight, two concerning incidents involving medical emergencies among people waiting in long lines at the airport on Wednesday prompted concerns and further outrage that the Democrat grandstanding was now causing health issues among travelers.
As shared by Fox News national correspondent Brooke Taylor:
I have now witnessed two medical emergencies today of people waiting in the long security lines. A 73-year-old man and a younger woman earlier. An ambulance just got to terminal E after a man passed out. He thought he was having a heart attack but medics believe it could be heat exhaustion. Wait time right now here is 120 minutes. Employees have been passing out water all day long.

Taylor later relayed additional details about the 73-year-old man, noting that "He got out of line and sat in a chair because he wasn’t feeling well, and our photographer saw him pass out, caught his arm, and got him help."
As to what's causing the long lines at the Houston airport in comparison to the reduced lines we've seen at others over the last couple of days, CNN, of all places, provided this helpful explainer:
Some travelers who missed their flights at George Bush Intercontinental were forced to return to the airport the next day and spend more hours in line.
They were among a sea of frustrated passengers that stretched down into a tunnel where a subway tram typically runs. As they waited, a warning [about long TSA delays] blared over the speakers:
[...]
On Wednesday morning, the lines were noticeably shorter. But Wednesdays are typically low-volume days, said Houston Airport System spokesperson Casey Curry.
“We are expecting a higher passenger load Thursday and Friday,” she said, in part because of conference departures and NCAA Sweet 16 events.
Unfortunately for Houston, the March Madness you typically see during the annual college basketball tournament now extends to its busiest airport. And we don't need a tournament bracket in order to be able to determine exactly who is to blame.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
