To me, it was a stunning moment, one that showed we as a country weren’t just having different opinions over the direction of the American experiment — we were now in the middle of an ideological civil war. Donald Trump had completely shocked the D.C. Swamp establishment with his first presidency, and liberals were hurling out whatever incendiary rhetoric they could think of and corrupting our legal system to boot (think: “Russia collusion”). Quite simply, they would do anything, at any cost, to destroy the duly elected president.
They are still doing the exact same thing to this day.
The infamous moment came on February 4, 2020, when the then-House Speaker from California ripped up Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech on the floor of the House of Representatives moments after he had concluded giving his address. Pelosi thinks it was a profound statement that will go down in history. I think she’s right that it will go down in lore, but not for the reasons she envisions: in my view, it will be remembered as one of the most toxic modern-day examples of banana republic-style politics in our country. I imagine the Founders would have been appalled.
But the "Speaker Emerita" still thinks she’s some sort of hero:
Five years later and Crazy Nancy Pelosi is still bragging about her temper tantrum during President Trump's 2020 State of the Union address.

PELOSI: “The speeches are on strong paper… so you have a do it a few times.”

“People liked it [the moment],” she claims in a new interview aired Sunday. Yes, it’s true, many did (mostly leftists) because it represented a siren call for opponents to do anything and everything they could to stop Trump, ethics be damned.
During a conversation with ABC's Jonathan Karl, Pelosi said her defining moments in her relationship with the president were "spontaneous."
"People like the tearing up of the speech. I didn’t intend to go to the speech to tear it up. I just, the first part of it, I tore a page because he was lying. And then the next page, then the next page. I thought it was a manifesto of lies all throughout, so I better tear up the whole speech. Now, the speeches are on strong paper, so you have to do it a few times to get it done. But I had no intention of doing that. I thought my staff was going to die," Pelosi said.

Trump Bids Adios to Pelosi As Only He Can, Calls Her Retirement a 'Great Thing for America'
Meanwhile, despite the fact that the Russia collusion conspiracy theory pushed by then-California representative (now senator) Adam Schiff, herself, and so many others has been thoroughly debunked, she still maintains that "all roads lead to Putin."
"You know what I’m saying when I go out the door? I’m leaving here because I’ve had it with you, Mr. President. With you, all roads lead to Putin," she told Karl, who noted that the White House put the picture out and called Pelosi "crazy."
Thankfully, Nancy is retiring and will end her nasty tenure on the Hill in January 2027. Her heir apparent, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08), has so far proven inept, devoid of charisma, and not nearly as effective at whipping the troops together as Pelosi, which hopefully is a net positive for the conservative side.
Adios, Mrs. Pelosi, and be sure to send a postcard.
