WH Meeting Was About FIFA - but Trump Makes News by Saying He's Considering Drug Strikes Inside Mexico

President Donald Trump held a White House meeting Monday to tout the upcoming FIFA (International Federation of Association Football, or soccer as it’s known to us 'Mericans) World Cup and the economic benefits the tournament is expected to bring to our shores. The Cup is coming stateside this June, and matches will be played in 11 cities. The president said it could bring in $30 billion in revenue and create 200,000 jobs in the U.S.

Now that’s big news, of course, but he also talked about his administration’s attempts to stop the flow of illegal drugs like fentanyl into our country, which have killed hundreds of thousands. He said he’s tired of other countries not helping out enough, and would even consider strikes within Mexico’s borders:

President Trump on Monday defended his administration’s decision to carry out airstrikes on the boats of alleged drug traffickers — and suggested he was open to doing whatever it takes to stop their trade, including launching attacks on Mexican soil.
“Would I launch strikes in Mexico to stop drugs? It’s OK with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs,” Trump said. “I looked at Mexico City over the weekend. There’s some big problems over there.”
“Every boat we knock out, we save 25,000 American lives,” he boasted of the strikes on suspected Venezuelan narco-terrorists, during a White House task force meeting on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

"Mexico...some big problems over there. If we had to, would we do there, what we did in the waterways? There's almost NO DRUGS coming through the waterways. Down like 85%. I don't know who the 15% are!"

With his recent moves, including 22 strikes on suspected drug-running boats in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific Ocean, we’ve been seeing that Trump is not fooling around in his efforts to end the scourge.

Trump continued, vowing to continue speaking with authorities in other countries, but also making it clear that they know he intends to stop the smuggling with or without their help.

“I’ve been speaking to Mexico. They know how I stand. We’re losing hundreds of thousands of people to drugs,” he said. “So now we’ve stopped the waterways, but we know every route.”
“We know every route, we know the addresses of every drug lord. We know their address; we know their front door. We know everything about every one of them. They’re killing our people. That’s like a war,” he said.

He concluded that he would “probably go into Congress” if he were to ramp up military action. “Let me just put it this way: I am not happy with Mexico.”

As we reported, violence erupted in our southern neighbor over the weekend as protesters took to the streets to demonstrate against corruption and safety issues.

Mexico is in a civil war.

Now imagine if Kamala won.

Tensions have also been on the rise with Venezuela and its dictator, Nicolás Maduro, and the administration has sent the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group into the region’s waters in a powerful show of force aimed at enforcing Trump's directive “to dismantle Transnational Criminal Organizations and counter narco-terrorism in defense of the Homeland.”

Seems like it's going to be a lot harder to be a drug dealer in the future.
