Poor, poor White House Press Corps (well, most of them, anyway). They’re used to writing, “Trump is Hitler” over and over, or that whatever the outrage of the day is a “danger to democracy,” and their ratings go up and they get handsomely paid.
But the narrative has been going up in smoke this time 'round as Trump reaches the end of his first month in office (of his second term, of course) and records win after win after win. Meanwhile, CNN and MSNBC's ratings keep going down, down down.
Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor, dropped in on the WH press briefing Thursday to deliver the journalists there a rundown of all the administration’s accomplishments as well as to educate them with a well-deserved civics lesson.
Watch this fantastic clip where Miller dunks on the press for failing to report on Joe Biden’s obvious decline; then he teaches them how government actually works. You can bet that there were a lot of mainstream press members squirming:

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller gives a civics lesson to hyperventilating leftwingers fear mongering out about the cost and waste-cutting work of DOGE.

It is true that many of the people in this room for four years failed to cover the fact that Joe Biden was mentally incompetent and was not running the country.
It is also true that many people in this room who have used this talking point that Elon is not elected fail to understand how government works. So I’m glad for the the opportunity for a brief civics lesson.
A president is elected by the whole American people. He's the only official in the entire government that is elected by the entire nation, right? Judges are appointed, members of Congress are elected in the district or state level. [It’s just] one man, and the Constitution article two has the clause known as the vesting clause, and it says the executive power shall be vested in A president—singular. The whole will of democracy is imbued into the elected president. That president then appoints staff to then impose that democratic will on to the government.
The threat to democracy, indeed the existential threat to democracy is the unelected bureaucracy of lifetime tenured civil servants who believe they answer to no one, who believe they can do whatever they want without consequence, who believe they can set their own agenda, no matter what Americans vote for.
Boom! Maybe some of the reporters actually learned something.

REPORT: Trump to Appoint Immigration Hawk Stephen Miller as Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy
Miller had already started the briefing with a bang, noting that the administration had made astounding accomplishments in such a short time. He grinned at the crowd—knowing that many probably hated him—then launched into his monologue:
I want to thank you all for joining today our one month celebration of the most historic opening to a presidency in American history. No president comes close to what President Trump has achieved over just the last 30 days.
He has packed eight years of transformative action. Restoring this nation, restoring our laws, economic opportunity, and national security, into just one month. No one in this country has ever seen anything like it.
When you look at the consequential reality and the significance of the transformative nature, it truly defies description.

He described how they were shutting down Biden’s open border, ditching the divisive DEI policies that have been infecting the federal government, ending “radical gender ideology” in our federal institutions, ending the participation of men in women’s sports, and refocusing the military on “readiness, preparedness, and lethality” instead of social justice issues. He also praised Elon Musk and the DOGE for the incredible amount of fraud and waste they’ve discovered, saying, “He has undertaken a cost-cutting effort, launching the first-ever Department of Government Efficiency [DOGE], uncovering corruption on a scale that we never thought imaginable.”
He had plenty more to say, and I encourage you to watch his full remarks (below). I, for one, would have loved to see the looks on the mainstream media’s faces.
