Team Kamala Tries to Look Like They're Oh So Into Football, Muff the Job Completely

You know how the media and the Democrats are trying to convince us that the Harris-Walz campaign has “taken back football”—lamely trying to capitalize on the fact that Walz was once an assistant pigskin coach—and has embraced masculinity? It’s a hard sell because it feels completely inauthentic, and we all know the left has been sneering at traditional manhood for years.

It certainly doesn’t make it easier for them when they botch the job. At first glance, this Saturday tweet from the Kamala HQ X account seems like it’s actually a decent troll of the former president:

It's mildly amusing, and it gives a shout-out to North Carolina voters while also appearing to show the campaign's deep knowledge of football because they actually knew these games were being played.

There's just one teensy little problem, however. The tweet was sent out nearly two hours after the UNC, NC State, and Charlotte games had started. "You’ve got to send this at least an hour before kickoff to not look downright stupid," writes John Simmons at mrcTV.

Oops.

But it gets worse. The teams who were down when the tweet went out ended up losing big and were humiliated on the gridiron:

As if that weren’t enough, the games that were in progress were absolute nightmares for all these fan bases. Charlotte, NC State, and UNC were all down by at least 17 points around the time this tweet was sent out, and all of them lost by at least 20. Plus, ECU lost to Liberty (shoutout to my Flames), and Duke was the only one of these teams that emerged victorious from their matchup. [Editor's note: Go Blue Devils!]

An account called Insurrection Barbie wasn't afraid to share their thoughts:

Meanwhile, it would seem that plenty of people were happy to miss watching their teams lose and were pleased with their choice of afternoon activity:

Now I'm not going to say this is an earth-shaking tweet that will affect the election, but I did think it was funny and once again showed that she hires incompetent people. Clearly, none of her interns know a lick about football. Their whole attempted pivot toward huntin', pigskin, and 'Merica is bound to fail for one simple reason: everyone knows they don't really mean it.
