Eight Tajikistan nationals with ties to ISIS were taken into custody this week by the FBI and ICE in New York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, as RedState reported. Now who could have thought something like this was possible?
The answer: everyone with a brain who has been watching the abject disaster that Biden’s open border policies have caused, as thousands if not millions of unvetted military-aged men have slipped into the country and waved at Border Patrol as they headed on their merry way.

Leave it to the New York Times to gaslight the public, as they tried to shame Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last fall for calling out the existential threat Biden’s border malfeasance presents:
While covering the November primary debate, the Times challenged DeSantis when he said, "If you look at the threats that we face, terrorists have come in through our southern border."
"This is false," Times reporter Eileen Sullivan wrote. "Since 1975, no one has been killed or injured in a terrorist attack in the United States that involved someone who came across the border illegally, according to Alex Nowrasteh, the vice president for economic and social policy studies at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank."
The first thing to note is that terror attacks are just one threat we face from an unprotected border; never forget the tragedy of Laken Riley.
But now that eight dudes with ISIS ties slipped into the country and were apparently making plans to do something like the Boston Marathon attack—or worse—the DeSantis camp wants an apology. DeSantis aide Christina Pushaw—not someone you want to mess with—called out the hypocrisy on social media:

Meanwhile, DeSantis press secretary Jeremy Redfern also trolled the Gray Lady for misinforming the public:

With yet another example of terrorists crossing our southern border, I’m eagerly awaiting your correction. https://t.co/RkBFRmEUgY pic.twitter.com/BUGYEvARAu
I’m eagerly awaiting your correction.
We can all hold our breath waiting for that correction or an update from the Times, but it’s probably not coming because they currently make their money by consistently lying to the American people:

DeSantis may not be currently in the running for the presidency in 2024, but his prospects for 2028 look mighty good, and he hasn’t exactly been lounging around on the couch at home watching Netflix:

The Times will continue to spout out misinformation and deflections because that’s their current mission. “Just don’t read it,” some will say. I differ: like the DeSantis team, I think it’s imperative that we continue to call them out—along with the other dishonest media outlets—at every opportunity because you might be surprised by how many people haven’t gotten the message and still think the NYT is an honest broker. I grew up (partially) in New York City and know full well that there are legions of folks who still treat their lofty prose as gospel.
It's anything but, yet the venerable newspaper still holds tremendous influence. Anything we can do to counter their deceit matters.
