Lost in so much of the chaos of the current political moment, an evergreen statement if there ever was one, is that the border continues to be an abject disaster. Fox News' Bill Melugin remains the tip of the spear in documenting the lawlessness of the Biden administration's current policies, and he encountered a very interesting illegal immigrant in California on Wednesday.

The man wasn't Hispanic. Rather, he was from Turkey and one of many who have flown to Mexico and Panama only to make the trek north to cross into the United States illegally. Melugin queried him on who he was and how he ended up in Jacumba, CA. His response was simply stunning. 

The man doesn't speak English well, but I transcribed it as he said it.

MELUGIN: Did you have to pay a cartel? 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT: Yes

MELUGIN: How much? 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT: $10,000

MELUGIN: $10,000? 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT: Yes...In fact, the American people is right, completely true. Who comes into this country? They don't know. Okay, I'm good, but how if they're not good? How if they're killers, psychopath, else? No guarantee of that. Like, no security, no security check, no background check

MELUGIN: No security, no background, you're worried about who's crossing the border? 

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT: Yes, yes. Of course, because (unintelligible) people are not like normal.

Think about how insane that exchange is for a moment. A guy from Turkey paid $10,000 to be trafficked by a cartel across the U.S. Southern border, and even he was like, "Yeah, you guys might oughta do something about this." He says there was no security check or background check. Instead, the man was essentially waved through, likely handed some form of a notice to appear that will never be honored. That's Joe Biden's immigration policies in effect. 

The Turkish illegal immigrant in the video also happens to be correct. The administration has no idea who is coming into the country, and worse, they don't even care. There's no real attempt to enforce the law, and any state that dares to try to fill the gap is quickly sued and bullied by the White House. 

As the man asks, how do we know killers and psychopaths aren't being let in? We simply don't, and that was most recently illustrated by the fact that one of the Jordanian nationals who tried to breach a U.S. military base was an illegal immigrant who was paroled by the Biden administration. 

Honestly, I admire the Turkish guy's honesty. If the mass deportations ever come, and I'm skeptical they will, I propose we let him stay.
