Anyone who knows anything about sales and marketing knows you have to have a good line, a good hook, a good tagline to get people to buy what you are selling. The best hooks are the ones that stick in people’s heads and very often become part of the culture. Nike’s “Just do it!” immediately comes to mind. The same is true in politics and for political parties. Tell people what you want them to believe about you enough times, and they are sure to believe it. Even if your actions say something very different, don’t be afraid to challenge people to believe their lyin’ eyes.

It is a strategy that Democrats have used for quite a long time on several groups of Americans. Of course, they have gotten away with telling minorities that Republicans are racists, and as President Joe Biden once said to a crowd of black voters during the 2012 election, that Republicans would “put y’all back in chains.” And it has worked. In 2020, blacks voted for Joe Biden over Donald Trump by a margin of 87 to 12 percent. More and more black Americans, however, are realizing that what Democrats tell them and what actually happens are two different things. The latest “defector,” Georgia State Rep. Mesha Mainor, had this to say about the Democrats’ racket,
For far too long, the Democrat Party has gotten away with using and abusing the black community. For decades, the Democrat Party has received the support of more than 90 percent of the black community. And what do we have to show for it? I represent a solidly blue district in the city of Atlanta. This isn’t a political decision for me. It’s a moral one.
The other group that Democrats love to tell how much they care about them and are champions for is women. For over 50 years, Democrats have been trying to convince women that they are the party that truly cares for them, really has their best interests at heart. But again, don’t listen to words; look at actions. Go back as far as the ratification of the 19th Amendment. It was introduced four times and defeated by a Democrat-controlled Senate before it passed after Republicans took over. Of the nine states that voted against ratification, eight were controlled by Democrats.

Fast forward to 2023. With the 2024 presidential election cycle heating up, Democrats are reminding us that the “champions” of women don’t include all women. With election season comes open season on conservative women. This cycle, Democrats are starting their collective attacks on Casey DeSantis, wife of Florida Gov. and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis. Over the weekend, leftie MSNBC commentators dubbed her “America’s Karen.” For those who have been living under a rock and might not be familiar with this term, a “Karen” is described as an obnoxious, entitled white woman. Casey DeSantis is a wife, mother, cancer survivor, and former career woman in her own right. Aren’t those all the things that Democrats profess they want women to aspire to? Well, no, not in Casey DeSantis’ (or any other conservative woman’s) case because, you see, they do not have the “correct” politics. Therefore, they must be destroyed. In reality, Democrats are scared to death of strong conservative women. They are intimidated by any woman who does not depend on the government for her opportunities, her opinions, or her income. Casey DeSantis should do nothing but consider this a badge of honor.
And make no mistake — Democrats are just starting with Casey DeSantis. Should Donald Trump get the GOP presidential nomination, it will again be no holds barred attacks by the left on Melania Trump. If whoever becomes the nominee decides to pick a woman as their vice presidential running mate, plan on the onslaught rolling merrily along. Because, you see, conservative women don’t count, and apparently, in the case of Casey DeSantis, racial slurs are acceptable now as well.
The attacks are not just on the wives of political candidates. Recently, the Southern Poverty Law Center, sketchy in their own right, dubbed the group “Moms for Liberty” an “extremist” group. Founded by two former Florida school board members who opposed mask mandates, “Moms for Liberty” have gone on to fight against LGBTQ and CRT material in school curriculums.
Let’s not forget the crowning touch to all of the Democrats’ concern for women. Biological men competing in women’s sports, women being forced to change alongside biological men in locker rooms, and on Sunday, a biological man was crowned Miss Netherlands. Perhaps America’s women would be better off with a bit less Democrat Party “concern.”
