Investors for years have seemingly adored technology stocks as much as most people love their smartphones. But Wall Street has suddenly soured on Silicon Valley and the rest of tech, triggering a stomach-churning downturn likely to leave millions queasy, should they check the damage to their investment portfolios in Oct. 2018. There’s been an update on a story I first shared with you on Monday.

After a slew of Conservatives pulled the plug on Netflix for “Cuties,” a movie which appeared to include raunchy scenes starring underage girls in various forms of undress, performing dance routines only fit for a striptease bar, there was word this week that Jerry Harris, a star of the streaming service’s new, hit docuseries, “Cheer,” was being investigated by the FBI for allegedly soliciting sex and sexually explicit photos from minors, as USA Today reported.

Then, news broke earlier this afternoon that the cheerleading coach has now been arrested and charged with one count of producing child pornography.

TEGNA:

Jerry Harris, one of the stars of the Netflix documentary series “Cheer,” was arrested Thursday morning and charged in federal court in Chicago with producing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The victim informed Harris during their initial online encounter that he was 13 years old, the complaint stated.

The story continued:

The lawsuit filed Monday in Texas against Harris and three cheer organizations says the boys’ mother reported Harris to the FBI last month.

Page Six shared more explicit details on twin boys, aged 13, who say he “groomed” them to share the photo with him and tried to force one of them to perform a sex act: (Warning: contains graphic sexual content)

The boys allegedly looked up to Harris — who is nationally known on the cheer scene — as their “mentor,” so they complied with his demands, the suit said.

Harris allegedly demanded oral sex from one of the boys in a bathroom at the American Cheerleaders Association’s national competition in February 2019, the suit said. The boy refused to comply.

Page Six reported that it was the boys’ mother who uncovered the explicit content on their social media accounts and phones, going on to cite court papers which said that the single charge “only pertain[s] to the alleged abuse of one of the boys — the one he solicited oral sex from in the bathroom.” If Harris is convicted, that crime carries a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and maximum of 30 years.

But the piece added that more charges may be on the way. The coach “allegedly admitted to receiving X-rated photos from ‘at least between 10-15 other individuals he knew were minors,’ according to a complaint filed by the US Attorney’s Office in Chicago.” Harris’ representatives have denied the allegations, according to Page Six.

According to Fox News, Netflix released a statement after Harris’ arrest Thursday, which read:

“Like everyone we are shocked by this news. Any abuse of minors is a terrible crime and we respect the legal process.”

It’s important to note that the courts should sort out what did or didn’t happen, and every person deserves the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. But if you’re a grown, 21-year-old man who’s trading naked photos with young children — where there’s smoke, there’s very often something on fire nearby.

Though this video from my colleague Brandon Morse dates back to the spring, it’s just as relevant at this moment. What exactly do Democrats and the Left stand for, when you see what’s happening with their buddies in Hollywood… and would you vote for that? Take a look:
