Elizabeth Warren Embarrasses Herself by Doing the Worst Thing Possible After Denouncing Lobbying as 'Legalized Bribery'

Here’s an odd way to go about things.

On Monday, presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren revealed an anti-corruption plan that would instigate a “cooling off” period for lobbyists prior to being employed by the government.

The plan would also prevent them from donating to political campaigns.

And why? Because, as per Elizabeth in a piece for Medium, that’s “legalized bribery.”

Got that? Lobbying is bad:

“The fundamental promise of our democracy is that every voice matters. But when lobbyists and big corporations can buy influence from politicians, that promise is broken. The first thing to do to fix it is to end lobbying as we know it.”

Duly noted.

So what’d she do the very next day? Hire a lobbyist.

Kimberly Diaz Scott — who, as recently as January, was a registered lobbyist for the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates — announced her exit from the organization in order to lead Elizabeth’s campaign in the Sunshine State.

But, as Kimberly told the Miami Herald, she’ll still be carrying the abortion torch:

“I won’t be far from the movement, as I’m humbled and proud to announce my transition as the Florida State Director for Warren for President, assuring that we will continue to fight like hell to elect a brilliant leader who will work to protect the health, safety and future of ALL people. 2020 is not for the rich or selfish, 2020 is for us.”

Got that class warfare lesson? 2020 is for Elizabeth, not for the rich or selfish.

Therefore, Elizabeth clearly isn’t rich.

Kimberly oughta check out the Forbes article “How Elizabeth Warren Built A $12 Million Fortune.”

As for selfishness, how would the former lobbyist otherwise explain a woman as white as the chick from Morton Salt using the falsehood that she’s an Indian to advance her career?

Among the worst politics has to offer, people open their mouths and leak words that have no bearing on reality (here). From my perspective, the moment someone of wealth pretends not to be — or anyone on their staff participates in the charade — that candidate’s as goofy as all get-out (here). That’s one thing, I believe, people have always liked about Trump: He doesn’t apologize for his success.

Anyway, back to lobbying, here’s more from The Daily Wire:

Warren’s plan said lobbyists were effectively bribing politicians by donating to politicians, but her own political campaigns have received at least $95,000 from lobbyists between 2012 and 2018, CNBC reported.

“Under my proposal, current lobbyists won’t be able to take government jobs for 2 years after lobbying, with limited exceptions for when the hiring is in the national interest,” Warren’s plan states. “Corporate lobbyists will have to wait at least 6 years — no exceptions, and no waivers.”

So Elizabeth — who takes money from lobbyists — is against taking money from lobbyists.

That’s…rich.
