For Its Anti-Discrimination Commission, Illinois Gets a Man Who Allegedly Celebrates Death to Jews

Guess what kind of guy is the best person for an anti-discrimination committee.

Give up?

It’s a dude who likes it when Jews are annihilated.

So it goes, purportedly, in Champaign, Illinois.

Mayor Deb Feinen recently decided to replace a member of the city’s Human Relations Commission for the expressed purpose of “diversity” and to address the “[underrepresentation] of the Muslim-American community.”

Therefore, she appointed Egyptian immigrant and prominent local Muslim figure Ahmed Taha.

That sounds fine.

There turns out to be a problem, though: He’s supposedly ain’t much for the Children of Israel.

Ahmed’s been substantially involved with the Islamic Circle of North America, a proxy — according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism — for South Asia’s Jamaat-e-Islami, considered to be a violent extremist movement.

Need more? Presto:

In 2013, Ahmed reportedly posted a photo of an Egyptian teenager who’d been murdered with the caption, “O Muslim, O servant of God. There is a Jew behind me, come kill him.”

How’s that for “Human Relations”?

Enjoy another tidbit, courtesy of The Daily Wire:

In March 2014, Taha shared a conspiracy theory by a far-right website claiming that the president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, was secretly Jewish. “Is that true?” Taha asked, “If yes, this is a castastroph [sic].” In October that year, he then posted a video supposedly exposing Joe Biden as a “Zionist” and revealing the “Rothschild Zionism Secret Regime in America.”

So what’s the purpose of Champaign’s Human Relations Commission?

Here’s the official mission statement:

The Human Relations Commission is responsible for the promotion of equal rights and opportunities in the City.  It is responsible for the enforcement of the City’s Human Rights Ordinance and serves as the hearing board for complaints of violation of the Ordinance that cannot be conciliated by staff.  The Commission also advises the City Council on human rights and equal opportunity issues.

Bold choice.
