The Democrats Are at War With Donald Trump (and the GOP)

Sometimes, a politician reveals more than they should during their unguarded moments before a friendly face on cable television, as Sen. Jackie Rosen (D-NV) recently did to Michael Steele on MS NOW:

On Monday’s broadcast of MS NOW’s “The Weeknight,” Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) said that the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is “about how it comes from our leaders. When people talk about destroying civilizations or calling people name[s], normalizing all of these things, we should not be doing that.”

Sen. Rosen was referencing a Truth Social post from April 7, 2026, when President Donald Trump warned, in reference to the Iranian regime, that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again."

Sen. Rosen should not have said that. She gave the whole Democrat Party game away by not considering the context.

The U.S. is currently at war against the Iranian regime. Which the Democrats, including Sen. Rosen, largely oppose. That is the context in which President Trump issued his threat. A threat, I might add, that no one seriously believes is true – that President Trump or the Americans will actually destroy the entire Iranian civilization.

During wartime, it is quite frequent to see the participants using charged rhetoric and vicious propaganda towards the enemy. Perhaps some of you have heard of General George S. Patton? (Or perhaps you have seen the famous movie starring George C. Scott?) Patton was a great general and a war hero for the U.S. during World War II (also known as World War Eleven, to Rep. Ilhan Omar and her fans).

On June 5th 1944, General Patton spoke before a crowd of American soldiers in England. He said

"We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have; or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-bitches, we're going to rip out their living Goddamned guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy Hun cock suckers by the bushel-fucking-basket."

Patton used this inflammatory rhetoric to threaten a tough and mean enemy and to keep his own men alive and fighting. Because that is what a leader does during wartime. But despite what he said, and despite the fact that the U.S. won the war, the U.S. soldiers did not really “rip out their (the Germans') living Goddamned guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks.” The American troops also did not make sure to “murder those lousy Hun c@&k suckers by the bushel-f#@&ing-basket.” In fact, the U.S. treated German soldiers far better than the Germans treated American troops (or anyone else, for that matter).

So, there was really nothing wrong with what Donald Trump warned the Iranian regime within the context of a war. Especially a war against a regime that itself is so bloodthirsty it killed tens of thousands of its own civilians and wants nuclear weapons to threaten the world.

And now we come to the revealing part of Sen. Rosen’s justification.

Sen. Rosen was using this example from the president’s speech to defend the constant incitement coming from Democrats against Donald Trump and Republicans. Which is bearing results. In the WHCD shooter’s manifesto, he wrote: “I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.” The language he used is identical to that frequently employed by Democrats and Democrat-leaning media organs, against Donald Trump and the GOP.

  • Here is Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu (CA-36) claiming President Trump may have raped children in the Epstein Files, with other Democrat Congressmen standing nearby.
  • Here is ABC News and Democrat Clinton Crony George Stephanopoulos being forced to pay defamation damages because he slandered Trump as “liable for rape.”
  • Here are some other examples provided by the Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt of prominent Democrats using war-like language against Trump.

By the way, I personally can attest to having numerous left-leaning family members and friends who have used that very same language in their harangues against Trump in our private conversations.

So, what Sen. Rosen is conceding here, very unknowingly, is that the Democrat Party feels that it is at war with Donald Trump and the Republican Party. She is essentially admitting that the Democrats treat him and the GOP as if the Republicans were literally shooting guns and missiles at the Democrats.

What is appropriate for a war is not always what is appropriate for politics.

This is just another example of the Democrat elites not listening to Benjamin Franklin and helping us “keep” our Republic. You can be sure that there will be another.
