Nancy Pelosi Is Really Really Mad at Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg.

FILE - In this Oct. 13, 2017, file photo, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., speaks at the Capitol in Washington. Pelosi says she must retain her leadership position so there is a woman at the table when key decisions are made. After more than a decade leading House Democrats, Pelosi has faced demands from some lawmakers for leadership changes, particularly after Democrats failed to win back House control last year. Someone is a little cranky and her initials are N.P. and she holds a really big gavel.

As I wrote here earlier at Red State the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has been getting battered around a bit by Washington D.C. insiders and quite frankly anyone in the Capitol city of late. Her rush to impeach POTUS #45 then hold up on sending those papers over to the Senate has been called into question by a number of people. Here are my stories from earlier.

Pelosi held her weekly press conference today and with all the impeachment hoopla someone snuck in a question about how Madame Speaker felt about Facebook and their policies. What came next was a bit surprising for anyone listening.

USA TODAY

Nancy Pelosi doesn’t seem to like Facebook very much.

The House Speaker slammed Facebook on Thursday for engaging in “shameful” and “irresponsible” behavior, ratcheting up tensions between the Democratic leadership and the social media giant.

“I think what they have said very blatantly, very clearly is that they intend to be accomplices for misleading the American people with money from God knows where,” Pelosi said.

Whoa.

Shameful and irresponsible behavior? I was confused if for a moment she thought that possibly she was talking about how the Democrats in the House had botched this whole impeachment debacle. Saying that about a company that has lots of pull with your fellow lefties and is actually based partially in your district back in California is a bit harsh.

After continuing reading, I was reminded that Facebook last year had allowed a fake video of Nancy slurring her words and they refused to take it down. The ironic thing about that is there are a lot of videos where it sounds like Nancy is having a bad day on Nyquil and who in the hell can keep track of all those?

Normally it is the GOP that is taking offense at the tech giants because we all know that the vast majority of the workers at Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc, etc are left of center. That President Trump has taken the time to at least talk to them I have felt is at the very least a stalling tactic to buy time and hope they change their ways.

They never will.

However, if Madame Speaker is this ticked off at Facebook and depending on what happens with the impeachment circus and the election in November of this year, Mark and FB might have a two-front war on their hands. Republicans and Democrats pissed off to varying degrees but pissed off nonetheless. As we all know, politicians love sticking their noses into areas that they feel need improving and their solutions rarely improve anything.

If I were Mark Zuckerberg and stuck between a ticked of Pelosi and a raging Trump, I would contact Elon Musk put me on one of his rockets to get me off this planet. Luckily, we know Mark can afford a couple of those tickets.
