Former CIA Director Mike Morrell Is A Lying Liar (VIDEO)

If you ever entertain the idea that the foreign policy or intelligence bureaucracies are anything but hacks wholly in thrall to the Democrat party put that thought away. During George Bush’s administration we saw the CIA approve a book by a CIA officer, during an election year, that was designed to damage Bush. We saw, over and over, the CIA station in Baghdad leaking classified cables to the press to paint an narrative, a narrative that turned out to be patently false, counter to what the Bush administration was saying.

Our data point for the day is former CIA director Mike Morrell. Morrell has claimed to be non-partisan but his claim is totally bullsh**. But he’s shilling away for Hillary Clinton and using the guise of his “non partisan intelligence official” as a deceptive cover.

TRANSCRIPT

MARTHA RADDATZ: One voice broke through this week in his attack on Donald Trump as we showed you just a moment ago. In his fiercely worded op-ed in “The New York Times,” former CIA acting director Michael Morell blasted Trump as unprepared and dangerous and endorsed Hillary Clinton.

Michael Morell joins us now.

Mr. Morell, I want to first get your reaction to what Rudolph Giuliani said.

MICHAEL MORELL, FORMER CIA ACTING DIRECTOR: The one thing that struck me right off the bat was what he said about Benghazi. You know, there is this view out there that she lied about what caused the attack, that she said it was the video.

I think one of the really interesting things that is in early 2014, the Federal Bureau of Investigation walked into the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and they said that we believe the video was a motivation in this attack.

Abu Khattala, who is the only person arrested, said that the video was a motivation.

So this idea that the video played no role, which Republicans keep on repeating over and over and over again just isn’t —

(CROSSTALK)

RADDATZ: But she — but those parents have said she said those things to them. That has resonated among the voters.

MORELL: You know, she said it was terrorism, right, to Chelsea. She said to them it was the video. Those two things can both be true at the same time.

And it turns out right, it turns out that the video did play a role in that attack. And Republicans don’t want people to believe that.

He’s right, those two things COULD be true at the same time but the sad fact is that they manifestly are not true and known not to be true.

We know, via the Benghazi committee report that a) there was no riot or other disturbance near the Benghazi consulate, b) the consulate was known to be under active surveillance by someone and c) the Administration knew from the earliest reports that the Benghazi consulate was under a direct terror attack. Those are the facts. All of them. The silly little video played zero roll in the Benghazi attack, no one believed it at the time, in fact, released State Department emails show just the opposite. Regardless of what the FBI thinks, and after the Hillary Clinton email investigation we have cause to doubt that they even do, the people who did not think the video was involved was everyone involved in the attack.

Why Morrell chose to set his credibility on fire and masturbate while dancing around it over this issue is a mystery that I’ll leave to psychiatrists to sort out.

The Clintons, like Donald Trump, have that ability to diminish, degrade, and humiliate everyone associated with them. Mike Morrell just joins the long line of Clinton bootlicks who are figures of fun instead of being serious people.
