That Narrative About Hegseth and the Strike on the Drug Boats Just Imploded Even More

We've been treated to yet another "48-hour rule" story. It's rolled out with great fanfare and outrage. Then, as more facts come out, you see it isn't what the Democrats were claiming it to be. But this rather conveniently helped to feed the Democrat "illegal orders" narrative.

New York State Thumbs Its Nose at Trump and ICE, Lets Loose Almost 7K Illegal Alien Criminals

As we’ve seen in blue state after blue state and deteriorating city after deteriorating city, Democrats are more concerned with fighting ICE and Trump than making our neighborhoods safe.

Father and Sons Face Up to 25 Years for Honor Killing - Their Defense Will Make Your Blood Boil

There is no doubt a debate to be had over how you might enforce assimilation on immigrants to the U.S., but it is becoming something that Americans must insist on.

Two Big Laws Take Effect in North Carolina

This could be a start, but a better start would be to override Stein's veto on constitutional carry and end buses being gun-free zones throughout the state. If one person had been armed, that whole situation might have ended differently, and Iryna might still be alive.

When People Vote for 'Gooder and Harder,' Jersey Mikie's Making Sure She Delivers

This move also proves that Sherrill ran as a lying, middle-of-the-road waffler until she won, whereupon she ripped off the reasonable mask in a Mamdani-esque maneuver, like a gooder and harder horror movie or something.

In Eight Words, Trump Destroys the Left's Entire Case Against Him

Trump actually has repeatedly demonstrated punctilious respect for the Constitution and the rule of law, even to the point of obeying the politically motivated rulings of leftist judges who are trying to stop him from implementing his agenda.

Libs Are Melting Down Over This Post From Secretary Hegseth Wiping Out Narco-Terrorists

Look, if we're going to get all ethically touchy here, that's fine, but where were these people when Barack Obama was arguably assassinating American citizens with drone strikes?

We Stand With Franklin: As the Left Fumes Over Pete Hegseth, X Responds With Hilarious Memes

Long live Franklin the Turtle, 2.0. The original might be a fine children's book character, but Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has now turned him into a meme legend.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

We had a couple of votes of note on Monday:

  • In the Senate, the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of David Bragdon to be a United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina passed 50-41. His confirmation vote is set for 11:30 AM Eastern on Tuesday.
  • In the House, H.R. 5348 (Social Security Child Protection Act of 2025) and H.R. 4423 (No New Burma Funds Act) were both passed.

White House What's Up

President Trump will hold a Cabinet Meeting on Tuesday at 11:30 AM Eastern. He's set to make an announcement from the Roosevelt Room at 2:00 PM Eastern.

Keeping Up With the Cabinet

Sec. Energy - Chris Wright — Wright is touting the Genesis Mission to "mobilize to create the most complex AI database in history to advance U.S. science and innovation."

Full Court Press...

Not a lot of notable court decisions yesterday, but in one of the habeas cases (W.J.C.C. v. Trump), Judge Stephanie Haines (Western District of Pennsylvania) ordered (as moot) the dismissal of Count II of the petition. ✅

The Supreme Court will hear oral argument in one case on Tuesday:

  • First Choice Women's Resource Centers Inc. v. Platkin — Where the subject of a state investigatory demand has established a reasonably objective chill of its First Amendment rights, is a federal court in a first-filed action deprived of jurisdiction because those rights must be adjudicated in state court?

MORNING MUSING

Working on a shortened timeline this AM, so I'll keep the musing brief: Today is Giving Tuesday, so I highly encourage those who are able to pick a worthy cause (or causes) and give a little bit. I'm partial to helping out the doggos, of course, but whatever inspires your generosity, today's a great day to show it.
